PFF. My mistake it was actually 40%. 88th ranking

He was 16th in attempts, so Saints gave him ample opportunities. 19th in catches. The 88th ranking is a grain of salt because some guys only had 1 or 2 attempts w/ 100% catch rate.

Well say he’s a top 20 WR in that category. Def room for improvement

Seems like we are officially at that point of camp where these alphas are tired of seeing each other and having the same people hitting them every day. Natural mental frustration and built-up aggression being vented out on each other, trash talking intensifies, and that’s when the camp brawls start.

If we’re being honest, I don’t ever see Olave being more than average at contested catches and it’s because he only has a 32inch vert and 31 inch arms.

Football is a game of inches.

Conversely, someone like Aiyuk, same height has 33inch arms, and a 40inch vert. I’m betting those extra inches gives him the ability to get to, catch and secure passes quicker b4 a hand can disrupt the play.

I do think he can unlock more RAC in his game. Don’t think Payton’s scheme was well designed for that and they didnt try to get him the ball on those plays either.

Aiyuk is the only guy who makes sense at the moment. We need someone other than Tipton to start flashing. Considering we were down three WR’s today its alarming that we still didn’t hear anything about AT Perry

Yeah I was expecting a lot more from Cedric Wilson. He’s been mentioned very rarely, similarly to Perry, and I’m honestly feeling silly talking him up the way I did this off-season at the moment. It’s always possible that that’s just a product of the system and installation phase we’re at, but obviously Tipton is shining despite that.

Yeah I was expecting a lot more from Cedric Wilson. He’s been mentioned very rarely, similarly to Perry, and I’m honestly feeling silly talking him up the way I did this off-season at the moment. It’s always possible that that’s just a product of the system and installation phase we’re at, but obviously Tipton is shining despite that.

Wilson is a slot WR. I went back and charted his best season and it was in Dallas. He played in the slot 90% of the time and he earned a nice 2nd contract because of it.

Miami asked him to be an outside threat and it didnt translate. Saints would be wise to deploy him as a big slot to maximize what he offers

Imagine thenmotioning the jet sweep with both of them coming from opposite ends of the field and having a head start running down the sidelines for deep passes!

This would be illegal motion/illegal shift unfortunately, two men moving at the same time. We can only get the head start motion with one player, but I like what you have envisioned here in concept.

Oh, and just so it's in more than one place... I said it when he was drafted.... and I will say it here... Spencer is the QB2, he's going to look better in games... he has legit 1st round talent... and the only thing that will stop him from possibly being the QB of the future here is Carr becoming Brees, Injury, or something in his head.

To tell you the truth, while it would be nice to have in your number 1, it may not necessarily be a need. I’m perfectly fine with Olave being more of a finesse WR that just knows how to get open, kind of like Torry Holt back in the day. You can win with that. We do need to produce that element in our offense, it just doesn’t always have to be your top guy.

Our coaches just have to work around that, and we should be fine, I hope.

Had a conversation with a South Carolina alum that went to most of their games and diehard Falcons fan last week. He told me point blank there is no way Rattler will be kept off the field for long, or at a minimal, shine and be our backup since Carr is the one getting paid. He even said we got the better rookie QB between him and Penix. He says Rattler was just in an awful situation with an awful OL, and it has led to his abilities being WAY underrated.

This guy was no talent scout mind you, but it just kind of reinforced some of the things we have heard about him from actual experts.

It's going to be boring when your own team isn't trying to actively kill you.... Once another team gets after them... that's when we will see what's up... And I like Jake... but Spencer has legit QB1 talent.... and can make huge plays out of nothing. That's where the gamer stuff is going to show up and give him the edge.
