Seahawks hired Saints OC Klint Kubiak as their new Offensive Coordinator (5 Viewers)

Thanks so we got nothing in return for letting the Seahawks snag him? That figures.

Who has ever gotten anything in return for an OC? Much less an OC that worked for a HC that got fired?

He was allowed to look for other jobs and he got one. The timing seems to indicate that he may have known that whoever the Saints are targeting at HC wasn't likely to retain Kubiak.

Mickey?

Good luck in the second half of your games next year Seahawk fans…….you’re gonna need it.

Well the new HC is going to get to assemble an entire staff, no holdovers.

Moore is the guy.

I hope he brings their OL coach.

I think an underrated advantage of Moore is that he might bring some staff from Philly and he might be able to bring over some guys that are backup gems in Philly with a promise of a bigger role here. Cheap free agents like that are probably all we will be looking at and I would bet there are some gems buried on that talented roster.

I will not be surprised if he has success in Seattle
On a healthy team built to run, this is right up his alley.

Perfect QB for the offense and two good young running backs, Kubiak should hit the ground running n Seattle.

Did we release kubiak from his contract? That is a lateral move for him so has to be the case right?
They let him interview so that means they were ok with him leaving. They did the same thing last year with RB coach Joel Thomas.

We should not entertain bringing back Rizzi now.

One of the only benefits of doing so was keeping Kubiak, who the league seeks to agree for a raw deal last season.

Pretty much can't this late into the coaching cycle. The experienced coordinator pool is getting thin. You'd be basically having to pick and up and coming positional coach and turn them into coordinators.

Why would Seattle do that? They could just wait for the Saints to hire a HC and (almost certainly) release Kubiak anyway,
