Sherman Signs Record Deal (2 Viewers)

He's the best CB in the game...the Seahawks have a ton of money right now...they will structure it so that it is front-loaded while they have the money. I don't think they will have any problem signing Russell Wilson.

10 million a year just in guaranteed money…wow.

Nearly 15 million a year total.

Just the price you have to pay for success. I think they are doing the right thing and in about 2 years The Saints will be facing the same problems.

Great player. However I'd worry about paying that much money playing such an injury plagued position. How many DBs have been able to stay healthy for years? That's why I'd rather not pay a RB that kind of money either.

The seachickens should be almost out of money now. Russell Wilson is wondering where they are going to get the money to pay him from.

thats why they got Terrelle Pryor , they tune him up, just good enough to run the read option , pass for 200 yards a game, then when its time for Russle wilson contract they trade him!

im good with it. as long as the seahawks are in our way we'll keep stockpiling weapons. this kind of competition is what great eras of sports are made of. take it in, folks.

Seems like every time "The Best" corners in the game get paid they become mr. Irrelevant

You win a SB and everyone wants to get paid... We have experienced it but Loomis has proved a genius in managing the cap. The Seaturds will now have to see how their GM can handle things. They will cease to be a major force in a year or two.

I think people forget too quickly some of the bad contract Loomis has signed in the wake of successful seasons. Let me name a few in case your had forgotten:
Will Smith
Charles Grant
Roman Harper
Marques Colston
Bunkley (via FA)
Lofton (via FA)

Now he has done a great job of restructuring a few, but Loomis has been guilty of the same thing the Seahwaks are doing now. Its only natural to want to keep around guys with that talent level, especially when there is a familiarity level with the player.
