I see a lot of people high on Rattler and just as many low on him. I'm looking for honest discussions about why you think he should be the starter and what you've seen to support this. Also why he shouldn't be the starter and the reasons why.

He has a clear ability and performed within the system despite the lack of a supporting cast, Carr and the Saints should mutually part ways so he can go to a team ready to win and the Saints can begin to build this team back up through young players.

Yes, hopefully Rattler beats out Carr and gets the job that way…here’s to the new coach and staff developing Rattler over this next season.

I saw the game slowing down for him and him making better decisions in this last game. I think that there is legit reasons to be optimistic with Rattler as our starter.

I think the correct answer is to leave the QB position as an open competition going into next year. Neither Carr or Rattler has done enough to be our "locked in starter" going into next year. Sure Carr probably has the edge right now, but a full offseason for Rattler could also see him taking more strides in his development. We are really only attached to Carr through next season. Beyond that (as of now), I don't think it would be much of an issue to move on from him from a salary cap stand point.

yes IF we really do the work to shore up OL

fairly certain next year is going to be a wash
we know what Carr's ceiling is
but we only really know what Rattler's floor is
we will not sign a FA QB
any QB we draft would have as many or more ?? than Rattler

I voted yes if we actually move on from Carr. Carr gives us the better chance at being competitive next season, but if we go down the route of cleaning the books and Carr isn't here then absolutely I'm good with Rattler taking the reigns. There's absolutely no way there can be a verdict on Rattler at this point. He's had a handful of starts on a team that was already in serious trouble and it only got worse.

I'm not saying ditch Carr because Rattler is better, but he's a viable option to roll with next year if Carr isn't on the team anymore. We have bigger problems to sort out than QB right now.
