I don’t think he is ready yet, he has potential but needs more time and experience. Carr right now is the better option. But neither is the answer for Saints future. Saints also need two or more years to get back in contention and only then they can compete.
Saints have cap issues, aging players, thin trenches. They also need the right coaching staff, GM and medical staff.
Lots of needs tell you the truth.

If Brady can design an offense to get the most out of QB, then he should be able to have success doing that with Carr just as much or more than with Rattler. If a new coach brings in a new offensive system, then both Carr, Haener and Rattler would all be learning a new system, so none of them have an advantage over the others regarding that.

People are grasping at rationalizes for why the QB they prefer would be the best choice for a new coach. There's a lot of QB wish casting going on, which is not at all unusual.
Except you missed the earlier part where my preference was to also get younger and a whole lot cheaper. I want the team to develop a young QB on a rookie deal, not a 10th year, $40 million QB with ingrained flaws that aren’t going to get corrected.

We were without Adebo , we traded Latt. and he was hurt when we traded him. Werner missed time so did Harris and Mathieu. And one thing firing DA did was make the D worse
Yes, we had some injuries in the D backfield but our main issue on D was the inability to stop the run...
We didn't have hardly any significant injuries with that group.

Since the 2021 end of the season, Lattimore hasn't really been available on a consistent basis.

The Adebo injury probably affected our D the most this year...
I agree that firing DA mid-season had a negative affect on our D but I think the main culprit with our defensive downfall this year is the age barrier that finally hit our defensive leaders. They could only play well in spurts.
