Should Saints pursue WR Tee Higgins? (1 Viewer)

No, one player isn’t going to make the difference. They should bring back MVS and work on developing Bub Means. Both are bigger targets and MVS will come far cheaper.

This team has enough high paid injured players on it
I don't think MVS is good enough for each week. He seems like he is MIA most of the time. Means had 1 solid game and he isn't even getting starts with all the people missing on WR. We need a playmaker that will be involved.

We are bottom 10 in passing completion %, passing yards, and we have a lot of dropped catches. No need to keep people who are not producing.

I don’t think any team has missed MVS after he was gone.

I don’t disagree just pointing out that Higgins isn’t going to be a savior either, would rather limit spending for one more season vs looking for a “get us over the hump” kind of guy. We simply aren’t one WR away from being elite on offense.

Would it be a bad pickup absolutely not.

I understand, but if you can focus the draft on actual starting talent on the offensive line, at least Derek Carr can have someone he can count on getting the ball to.

Yeah, its probably still going to take a season or two to have something that works depending on who our next coaches are, but if we don't have anything to work with, then we will continue to stink on offense.

No one is but we're not moving on from Carr. We're going to get a high draft pick and that's going to be a big help. We absolutely do need Higgins. Olave is not a number one. It helps us focus on guards and TE in draft. But I think we need a CB or pass rusher.

After this season we’ve had and this current Raiders game, I wouldn’t trust this front office to pursue a ham sandwich.

No

He'll end up going to Cleveland.

Would rather build through the draft... with any of the following.
Tetairoa McMillan
Luther Burden
Emeka Egbuka
Isaiah Bond
Tre Harris
Elic Ayomanor
Jaylen Royals
Evan Stewart
Xavier Restrepo
Kyren Lacy
Jayden Higgins
We have two smaller fast receivers. We need a bigger physical game changer. I’ll take a smaller guy if he’s like a Malik Nabors or something. Has to be exceptional though. Need a bigger physical that can make contested catches consistently.

We are not a Tee Higgins away. I'd rather draft Jayden Higgins and develop our own version who would line up with the rebuild timeline we are on.
