And people also confuse lack of support for a celebration with lack of support for the group. For example, i ref HS and college football. When the pink october stuff hit its peak in the NFL, some HS refs wanted to start wearing pink whistles, flags, lanyards, etc. Of course anyone who was opposed to it because they didn’t have the money to spend on all the extra pink gear was seen as anti cancer survivor. Equally, there may be other reasons you feel it unnecessary to have gay parades and celebrations than just that you hate the LGBTQ+ community.

I think he means he is cool with gays but really doesn’t feel the need to go the parades. I wouldn’t got to one either. I can’t think of one part of a pride parade I would enjoy. I also would t go to a straight parade if they had one. It’s mainly because I just don’t care.

Now if I were somewhere and someone was harassing a person I would get involved.

People are too offended today. Just let people be who they want to be. If a person wants to be a cantaloupe what’s it hurt to call them a fruit (see what I did there ).

I think some people feel if they acknowledge someone’s preferences they feel it’s going to effect them some how.

I have heard this even off of this board that there are drag queens twerking in kindergarten classrooms and that the videos are all over the place and no one has produced any proof of that. Instead trying to back that up with pictures of peaceful book readings at librarys,where parents choose to take the kids with NOTHING inappropriate going on. Seen a few cases like this where kids have been arrested for driving/leaving skidmarks over pride crosswalks.
