So How Attractive is the Saints HC Job? (7 Viewers)

I like to think any NFL coaching position is an easy sell. Who wouldn't want to have a job that only 32 other people in the world have? Then.....I wonder if our position isn't one that after someone takes the job they just know they were lied to in the interview.

I'm sorry but talent is a major factor. You need playmakers on both sides in the NFL and don't have many/if any.

Taysom is 34 coming off a serious potential career ending if not altering injury.
Olave is our only receiver and he's coming off two concussions. He's one hit away from being out of the league.
AK is our best playmaker but he's a 30 year old RB.
Demario is old and well past his prime.
Cam is likely going to retire/ should retire.

AND our cap situation is the worse in the league.

Any coach that signs as HC for a new team, 99.9% of the time, the vacancy was a result of a HC being fired, so they have to know they already are going into a suboptimal situation.

The right coaching can make playmakers of non-playmakers.

ESPN has reported that Ben Johnson will be Chicago's next HC and is seeking to hire DA as the DC and Rizzi as Special Teams Coach. If that happens, I think you can see what coaches think of the Saints as an organization.
