So people are actually happy with Winston’s play? (1 Viewer)

I posted what was wrong. You're continuing to show your inability to read and comprehend. Hint: hyperbolic (!). Ironically, your complaint is about hyperbolic posts that don't exist.

See @livefromDC 's post above.

I'm not going to bother to answer your questions as they've been addressed ad nauseum throughout this thread and you ignore them. Not wasting my time on that..

Bowing out when the argument is lost. Well done.

Lol. Nice try (not really). The only person thinking that you're winning any argument is you. I don't even see an argument here. Posting replies to you doesn't rise to that level.

Not bowing out. Just not answering questions that have already been answered ad nauseum. You don't read, don't understand. Not fond of talking to a box of rocks.

Saying the current QB play isn’t good enough to win it all isn’t hyperbole. Saying he keeps missing short throws on 3rd down isnt hyperbole. Those are facts.

But you are correct the argument is pointless and there is no need to continue. Ultimately I hope he improves.

That was a good position to take. Reading this thread, it would be a good idea to go back to doing just that.

I agree with above, I would also be honored to be one of the reasons you don't post so much....

People like you are one of the main reasonI stay away. As a huge sports fan I read message boards here and there. This is by far the most condescending group I read. Actually takes the sting out of losses on occasion knowing some of you folks are in a bad mood. Opinions aren’t welcome around here. Never have been.

Oh, you can have any opinion you want, but when you can't back it up with actual facts and meaningful analysis, that opinion will get picked apart by a lot of folks that know more about football than you...was that condescending enough?

FYI - I actually appreciate when folks disagree with me for good reason, it's an opportunity to learn something....

It’s pretty clear people can’t handle opinions on here. Had a few people reach out to me on PM telling me that.

I’m done with the discussion. Winston has been average this year. That’s my opinion. The offense is clunky bc he struggles with accuracy. I hope he gets better bc I want the team to win.

Dude, I don't remember when it was, and I'm not going to look it up just to prove a point that I don't really care about in the first place. I was referring to a game where MT and TQS were out, and the Saints only had UDFAs at receiver. I believe it was a Monday night or Thursday night game. I remember Drew being asked after the game how he was able to move the ball down the field with only UDFA receivers. Go look it up Krishawn Hogan's stats if it's a big deal. I don't think it's worth arguing over.

Krishawn Hogan played in 8 games with 1 target and 1 reception. At no point in those 8 games was he ever "starting" by any definition of that word.

For crying out loud, that's the year Michael Thomas broke the single season receptions record.

Where do you people get this sheet?

You've already been proven wrong. Krishawn Hogan played eight games with the Saints and caught one pass. He was never a primary receiver for the Saints, not even for one game. Drew had Michael Thomas that entire season, except for the five games Teddy started while Drew was hurt.

You're welcome to your opinion but if you watched any tape at all you'd know you're spouting bullshirt as gospel. We've had a #4 WR running as our #1 all season. We've been relying on an oft injured return specialist as a deep threat. TQS somehow regressed even more while he was out the first five games. Even if Thomas were playing our WR corps is a C- group at best. Yes, they're actually that bad that even Michael Thomas barely bumps their grade up.

You're right. I'm wrong. It was Keith Kirkwood I was thinking about. Sorry for the confusion.

Even in that game, Michael Thomas, Ben Watson, Kamara and Ingram were all playing and the Falcons gave up four turnovers.

The Saints played several bad weather games, with better receivers, in Carolina and Tampa during Brees' tenure. They typically ended up with scores like 16-14 and both teams looked sloppy. That's just how games like that usually play out. Holding 2-3 bad throws against Winston and ignoring at least 5 passes that hit receivers in the hands and were dropped is a ridiculous double standard.

Nobody is arguing, you are literally making 💩 up and several people have called you out. Hogan only played with us one season, 2019. MT didn’t miss a game that season, so your fictitious post isn’t worth arguing over. You’re on here attempting to make points and you don’t even know or can’t remember, allegedly. You should of looked up Hogan’s stats before making the outlandish claim that you did.

Not a good day for ABW Hive...

I'm honestly ready for more home games. Winston looked pretty good in the Dome once he got into rhythm.

A win with no turnovers by him is a nightmare for some of them. I appreciate the posters that come straight and say it than the ones that refuse to acknowledge any growth or progress.

Drew went 7-9 with 18 picks his second year here and he was throwing to Colston, Dev, and Lance Moore and protected by the J-line.

Everyone just chill. The dude's doing well and has us out to probably a top 10 start in team history.

But they always move the goal post....

When he had one fumble and it was a picture perfect punch... It happens. All of sudden... He had ball security issues.

We complained about the God Balls and those complainers haven't even acknowledged that he hasn't thrown one in 3 games.

He missed 3 reads in the rain and I'm just... What is even this... Like c'mon...

Is there a QB that goes 25/25 400 yards 0 fumbles for 3 TDs 0 INT a game.

It's maddening how ridiculous they'll magnify his lowlights from every week. Like damn... Chill.

They try to speak Winston being a failure into existence.

I just don't see it. Honestly, I'm surprised he didn't fail with the crazy amount of adversity he's faced. It makes me really intrigued how much better Winston can get once the offense gets right.

Winston has been applying himself so hard to play a different way and style and he's really grinding to be a franchise QB. Is he there? Obviously no, but he is really clawing his way to be one.
