You derailed my point to offer this.Actually SP is wearing the headset. Just for someone else.
I think beating a 5 win team is pretty good when you’re a 6 win teamLots of people getting their chests puffed up over beating a 2 win and a 5 win team.
lol derp. Nowak is a bit of a goof.Pearl clutch? What?
Does this guy know how booing works? You boo when you are dissatisfied with what you are seeing. You EXPECT the players to hear the boos and use them as motivation.
Sheesh...
This reminds me of Jordan Thompson, SS for LSU at the CWS earlier this year. He was in a 1 for 30 slump in the first 7 CWS games and had 2 errors in game 2 of the finals. But in game 3 of the finals when he came to bat the LSU fans gave him a standing ovation and encouraged him on and rallied him up and he ended his slump.Surprised the following hasn't been mentioned. About 1/2 or 2/3 through the 2023 baseball season, Trea Turner was not hitting anywhere near the level suggested by his exorbitant free agent contract. Then, a local radio station (as I understand it) persuaded the fans at Citizens Bank Park to give Turner a standing ovation instead of booing him. So, the Philadelphia fans--yes, the Philadelphia fans-- gave him the standing ovation. Turner's season turned around, as did the team's.
I have certainly booed at a stadium-- but I am not sure it accomplishes much except personal venting.
