And I feel the same way about Taysom. The broadcasters even mentioned that when Taysom runs on the field, everyone on the Giants D was yelling Wildcat Wildcat! I get that him and Kamara don’t need to take 70 snaps a game, but I think they draw so much attention that having them out there even as decoys to draw attention is so much better than them standing on the sidelines.Unless Kamara is hurt, I don't understand why he would not feature in the first possession, or really, any possession of a Saints' game. He is literally the best player on the team, and you can see the difference in the opposing defense's formation and reaction when he is on the field vs when he is not.
I think DA being snippy about Carr, is two fold. One: DA considers himself like Sean, a cocky competitive coach. So booing Carr is booing him. (By the way we want that in a coach). Then he’s snippy in general about the booing of Carr, he sees Carr (as do I) as a good QB that simply doesn’t deserve to be booed. Out of fairness. Sadly for DA, he’s playing in front of thousands of spoiled fans that will only accept perfection, and nothing less. So theyll never boo from a fairness POV. What’s going to happen is this: This regime will ultimately get boo’ed out of town, meaning the staff. A new staff will come in, and also will get bood out of town. On the short term, nothing less of a Super Bowl win makes this town a believer. So I’d expect at least three more staff changes after this until the expectations are normalized.I don’t agree with booing anyone at introductions. Carr and DA have both been boo’d. Just simply don’t cheer, imo. I have boo’d a few times and it is aimed at coaching decisions. People have obviously boo’d Carr and I feel it’s either out of ignorance or misdirected frustration. I don’t like that anymore than the team does. I really don’t get all the drama out of this. DA said we are making too much out of a verbal alteration between Carr and McCoy. He is correct. Is it possible he is making too much out of fans venting their frustration with the team? If he thinks he can turn it into motivation for the remainder of the season then by all means I hope it works.
Man these folks will like anything. Lol814 likes, sound like a lot of Saints fans agree with the team
And that pissed me off. I luckily met someone in Covington who sold me 2 season tickets for years at face value even though he could’ve got much more on the open market for them. While I met people across the country who had season tickets passed down to them and they just sold them every game for profit. I was on the waiting list for a decade.Compared to the the old days when we wore bags and called them the Aints, this generation of ticket holders has a lot more financially riding on the team’s success. Tickets are exponentially more expensive and a lot of these boo birds are the same people who used to sell their tickets to opposing fans when the Saints were rolling. Many are taking a bath they can’t afford and they are stuck with tickets so they show up ready to boo.
Ultimately the FO is going to do what it wants regardless of fans. It’s a hostage situation with demands. Would never want them to leave, but if they go, they go. Fans aren’t going to stop them. They've threatened to leave before.
No bro, you’re wrong here, you don’t want to get boos, you can’t be going into the 4th quarter of games with 38 yards passing as an offense against a one win team. If you don’t want to get boo’d you shouldn’t be fighting with your teammates and not producing as it makes every player look like selfish idiots, then there is the straight up lieing in media scrums and contention with said media, the refusal of almost anyone to own how putrid we have been.I think DA being snippy about Carr, is two fold. Yes. Also, he wants us to give ourselves booing trophies and then bury them in our yards for good luck, and to remember where they are buried in case we need to dig them up later for good luck. This is the only way we make the playoffs, probably. So he’s asking us to boo to fuel us to the playoffs?!
Serious question though for folks there and booing, are people actually booing the players? With the exception of Carr, as far as I can tell the boo’s are directed at the coaching staff and their decisions (or lack thereof) and their inability to properly prepare this team. People want a whole new regime and DA et al prove time and again that that’s a warranted desire. In fact a lot of people want that change FOR the players, to put THEM in a better position to be successful. And as fans we have few options to let the FO know this.
I understand as a player it’s impossible to know for sure where the boos are being directed, but as a fan base I feel like we’ve been pretty consistent with our displeasure being centered around DA, PC and to an extent the FO, and not the team/players themselves (again, except for Carr, I know…)
YOU: "you don’t want to get boos, you can’t be going into the 4th quarter of games with 38 yards passing as an offense against a one win team" GIANTS DC would disagree, the Giants players also get paid. YOU: "If you don’t want to get boo’d you shouldn’t be fighting with your teammates and not producing as it makes every player look like selfish idiots" You're a soap opera fan. Means nothing. You're judging the symptoms. For EX: Bar fight: oh, look at this guy, what a prick, he cold-cocked a fool and broke his jaw. He's the devil! What they didnt know, is the guy that got cold-cocked was found minutes earlier in the mans apartment after breaking in stealing his goods. YOU: "then there is the straight up lieing in media scrums and contention with said media, the refusal of almost anyone to own how putrid we have been" Taking up for the media, which are nats constantly trying to get the player to say something he isnt supposed to? Bad timing media, wait until after a game they won to ask those type questions. No bro, you’re wrong here, you don’t want to get boos, you can’t be going into the 4th quarter of games with 38 yards passing as an offense against a one win team. People don’t boo teams they believe in. People boo because of inflexibility and the inability to own the changes needed to be made to be successful again.
If they keep winning I’m sure boos will dissipate. But it is not expecting perfection to expect consistency and competency my friend. This is pro football and these guys are paid huge money to consistently execute.
