So, Were the Players Ticked Off by the Booing? (1 Viewer)

Maybe put a better product on the field if you don't want the boo's

These "children" -- yes, I said children, not men, get paid MILLIONS to play a game. They can endure whatever passion the fans, who pay their check want to give.

The fact that they use the booing as an excuse is laughable

Probably that first series when we went 3 and out and Kamara never stepped foot on the field. That kind of strategy deserves a boo in my opinion.
Unless Kamara is hurt, I don't understand why he would not feature in the first possession, or really, any possession of a Saints' game. He is literally the best player on the team, and you can see the difference in the opposing defense's formation and reaction when he is on the field vs when he is not.

The whole “we showed them” attitude is hilarious, like one good performance erases 3 months of garbage. You’d have thought Allen would be smart enough to tone the attitude down until they’ve at least made the playoffs, but clearly not.

DA better hope they don’t revert to type on Thursday night and against Tampa otherwise the booing and firing shouts in that final home game will be vociferous and I’ll have no sympathy if that’s how it plays out.

They said they brought in heavy personnel with the TEs and a heavier back because the Giants D line is really good scheming, to feel them out, to see how they were going to play, first. Seems the strategy worked. Maybe they need to tell Joe Schmo fan first, their strategy, so he doesnt boo like an ignorant fool. I’m sure the Saints prefer no fans than ones purely their enemies that are just waiting to boo. Lol. Theres a difference between booing and being a booing douche

Also, DA is wasting his time using boo’s as motivation for the players because the only player being booed is Carr.

And, somehow, I think the likes of Kamara, Mathieu and Demario know full well the boos are aimed at Allen, PC and Carr.
foolish comment. Those people you mention like Carr and DA, so you’re insulting their friend or like they say, their family. But we all know you’re booing the team, nice try.

Hope the last month of the season is as successful and we were just feeling the league out with all of those wasted games.

The players need "motivation" to do their job? I thought that is what the money was for?
And seriously these gen Y & Z players wouldn't have made it through game day in the 1980s. The Dome was brutal. I have friends who used to go to the games and work their way down to behind the Saints bench so they could give it to the players. And the ushers would be right there shaking their heads in approval saying "you right...".
Those fans were booing a 2-14 team, that was 2-14 for the last 10 years thru 16 games. The Saints of old were beyond terrible. But once Jim Mora, turned them around, there wasnt any more booing. Fans today are booing a division leading team at 6-7.

Care to explain to Joe Schmo how having Kamara on the sideline instead of in the lineup was a good thing?

You got it wrong. You don’t pay their checks. The FO does. If worse came to worse (If Saints fans weren’t buying any tickets). They’d simply move to a more appreciative town. And if they did the same thing, they’d move again. That’s how business works. That’s why they don’t care how much tickets cost. Because it has nothing to do with them.

IMO the fans aren't booing the record. They are booing the uneven and sloppy play, terrible and lack of effort games we've put out there. Our home stands have been garbage for the most part. Go back a watch the games were we failed to show up until the second half. The only thing that's kept us competitive is the fact we are facing the weakest schedule in the NFL in the weakest division in football...

So fans boo hoping it makes them play worse, not better?

Serious question though for folks there and booing, are people actually booing the players? With the exception of Carr, as far as I can tell the boo’s are directed at the coaching staff and their decisions (or lack thereof) and their inability to properly prepare this team. People want a whole new regime and DA et al prove time and again that that’s a warranted desire. In fact a lot of people want that change FOR the players, to put THEM in a better position to be successful. And as fans we have few options to let the FO know this.

I understand as a player it’s impossible to know for sure where the boos are being directed, but as a fan base I feel like we’ve been pretty consistent with our displeasure being centered around DA, PC and to an extent the FO, and not the team/players themselves (again, except for Carr, I know…)

Booing at the beginning of the game, enough so, they stopped announcing DA to the crowd, means that there is booing douchery taking place. You’re preaching to the choir, with your reasoning, but that’s not whats going on. Booing at the end of a blow out game is one thing, but booing Carr when he first steps on the field. (Altho, as a joe Schmo fan, I will say, a couple games ago, when they bood when Carr came in for Taysom, it seemed booing was necessary). Taysom gave us a spark then boom he’s off the field. I get that booing. But we’re not talking about that, we’re talking about booing at EVERY possible moment with the intent of being a merciless douche.
people say, they get paid millions they should ignore it.

Imagine working your job flipping burgers, and you flip one too close to the others, and out of nowhere, all of the customer sitting down, stand up booing your arse. At first you’d think it’s funny, but if it kept going your‘re like. Screw these people I’m going to Mcd.

I don’t agree with booing anyone at introductions. Carr and DA have both been boo’d. Just simply don’t cheer, imo. I have boo’d a few times and it is aimed at coaching decisions. People have obviously boo’d Carr and I feel it’s either out of ignorance or misdirected frustration. I don’t like that anymore than the team does. I really don’t get all the drama out of this. DA said we are making too much out of a verbal alteration between Carr and McCoy. He is correct. Is it possible he is making too much out of fans venting their frustration with the team? If he thinks he can turn it into motivation for the remainder of the season then by all means I hope it works.
