So, Were the Players Ticked Off by the Booing? (2 Viewers)

I think DA being snippy about Carr, is two fold. One: DA considers himself like Sean, a cocky competitive coach. So booing Carr is booing him. (By the way we want that in a coach). Then he’s snippy in general about the booing of Carr, he sees Carr (as do I) as a good QB that simply doesn’t deserve to be booed. Out of fairness. Sadly for DA, he’s playing in front of thousands of spoiled fans that will only accept perfection, and nothing less. So theyll never boo from a fairness POV. What’s going to happen is this: This regime will ultimately get boo’ed out of town, meaning the staff. A new staff will come in, and also will get bood out of town. On the short term, nothing less of a Super Bowl win makes this town a believer. So I’d expect at least three more staff changes after this until the expectations are normalized.
im just pointing out the way it is. theres no opinion here. Theres a prediction but its based off of years of being a Saints fan and how things normally turn out. They will get bood out of town. Whether its this year or next. A new staff will come in, and will have to produce immediately, and considering how cash and talent strapped we are, its likely to fail. Especially the already trigger happy booing fan base, ready to pounce at an 0-3 start. So I would expect the next regime to fail in 3 years. So maybe the next regime four years from now in 2028, when the cap hell is reset, maybe then theres a fresh start. This is whats going to happen. This website represents probably 5% of the fan base. The other 95% are going to boo them out of town. (i could be wrong on the 5%, id have to know this websites numbers, if anyone knows please advise)

If it plays out like that, and it could, we’ll likely be the St Louis or San Antonio Saints. Or be in London or Paris.

Ultimately the FO is going to do what it wants regardless of fans. It’s a hostage situation with demands. Would never want them to leave, but if they go, they go. Fans aren’t going to stop them.
I think the FO is going to do what it wants because of the fans. (not regardless) IF theres no fan base buying tickets, Wallmart closes and moves to another city.

Exactly, especially considering we're a small market. (It baffles me why they hadn't left already in the worst of times. I know they tried to after Katrina. There's your loyalty right there. lol. NO fan support = buh bye) If this website represented the entire fan base, maybe there could be something said to curb the unecessary self destructive booing. But imo, i think this site represents the elite football minded Saints fans that love the NFL/CFB etc. And that is 5%. (guesstimate) So its actually telling, when the elite part of the fan base, hates the regime, you can all but guarentee that the rest of the fans do as well. So imo, the wheels are already in motion.

That really seems over dramatic. I don’t keep up with the dynamics of it all but it’s seems ownership has much more invested in this city than just the team and those investments turn to dog poo poo without the Saints.

True, i forgot about the Pelicans. Same rule applies to them. Ultimately a pro team in a city requires a healthy fan base. Or they will move.

Fans today are booing a division leading team at 6-7.

Right.....6-7 (or 7-7 unless you aren't counted the Giants win for some reason) with perhaps one of the easiest schedules anyone can remember.....

They are booing because they've seen a competent, engaged coaching staff that doesn't trot an underperforming, inconsistent team out from week to week....

I'm not big into the booing thing, but folks paid for a ticket and they have the right to boo if they want to, and most of the time I don't disagree with the sentiment.....

YOU: "you don’t want to get boos, you can’t be going into the 4th quarter of games with 38 yards passing as an offense against a one win team" GIANTS DC would disagree, the Giants players also get paid. YOU: "If you don’t want to get boo’d you shouldn’t be fighting with your teammates and not producing as it makes every player look like selfish idiots" You're a soap opera fan. Means nothing. You're judging the symptoms. For EX: Bar fight: oh, look at this guy, what a prick, he cold-cocked a fool and broke his jaw. He's the devil! What they didnt know, is the guy that got cold-cocked was found minutes earlier in the mans apartment after breaking in stealing his goods. YOU: "then there is the straight up lieing in media scrums and contention with said media, the refusal of almost anyone to own how putrid we have been" Taking up for the media, which are nats constantly trying to get the player to say something he isnt supposed to? Bad timing media, wait until after a game they won to ask those type questions.
Your on one hell of a tangent today my friend hollllllyyyyyy 😂

His point is that people are now posting upset tweets and message board replies after the team started winning again

That’s really it

People are booing and expecting/predicting the team that they root for to lose every week now (go look at the Bold Predictions thread) and there is like no joy at all after the team wins. Drew Brees isn’t lacing them up anymore and Sean Payton isn’t wearing that headset anymore.
Actually SP is wearing the headset. Just for someone else.

Nothing Gayle owns is worth more than 10% of what the sports teams are worth. Not even close. All of it combined in total doesn’t come close. NFL is huge money these days.

We werent leading the division at 7-7. But at 6-7 we were. Just saying. Of course people have the right to boo and should at times. Booing when they announce the coach at the start of the game, enough so, that they stopped announcing him is ridiculous.
