So, Ya'll are Telling Me this Offense Is Built Around Taysom Hill? (4 Viewers)

Ding Ding. As i said in another thread. He cant be a cake player. He is best as icing. Or if you look at it another way. Awesome beef roast base, gravy. But shouldnt be the roast.
That's all I'm saying, bro.

That player is Kamara. He is our best offensive player. What Hill does is unique and makes the offense better. He's the guy who can take pressure off of Kamara and makes the offense more dangerous. We don't have another Hill though.

I know he provides a lot when he's out there, but we can't turn to someone else when he's injured.

Losing McCoy was huge, but still.

At his age, it's going to be important to keep him healthy.

This offense is built around the ability to run the ball. If they can't do that, it won't work whether Hill plays or not.

Like I told you in a different thread.

I guess we'll lose a lot of close games or get blown out.

Uh, what? Why wouldn't you rely on your center, who happens to be the cornerstone of the OL, to do what he does? Your comment makes no sense.
I think what he is saying is even with McCoy injured the line should still be functional.

But the lack of weapons on offense really conpounded the problem. The leading reciever headed into this game had only 7 catches. Third WR almost non existent, Both TE have been invisible.

This will lead to a crap ton of problems. Its hard to scheme with that. Its clear the Saints should of got weapons this draft, they didnt. Brees would be just only good with this group.

Or we will get McCoy back or figure out how to run the ball without him. But sure, losing games because we can't run the ball is a possibility. On the bright side, at least the defense is good enough to keep us in most games.

The Eagles played smart, they sat on Kamara, Olave and Shaheed. It worked well. No one else was able to step.up.

Seriously dude? You think this was because we were missing Taysom hill?

We missed him, yeah. He’s a good blocker on the outside.

The real problem and it was immediately apparent, we could not afford to lose McCoy. Anyone else, we survive. McCoy going down was our offense. Patrick was not ready to fill in.
Losing anyone on the OL would have been bad. I think the contribution of a rebuilt OL to our offensive success was overly attributed to our new OC. We lose one guy, and the offense stumbles.

This all day. People here whining how McCoy went out and the oline was done. Injuries happen, if someone couldn’t step in and do a competent job, then coaching and leadership failed.
That’s saying that player talent doesn’t matter. It does. Not only was the blocking less effective after McCoy went down, the shotgun snaps looked different. Losing the center matters. It was two players playing different positions. Patrick moved from guard to center and Udoh came in to play guard. That group likely didn’t practice at all together this week. McCoy may not play next week, but however they piece together the line, at least they’ll have several days of practice together.

We don't have a lot of depth at WR, but we've been running a lot of heavy sets with 2 WRs and running the ball. Kamara didn't have any 10+ yard runs until the late TD drive. He had 11 in the first 2 games.

The OL wasn't functional primarily because McCoy went out early in the game. And the offense was never really sharp. There were a few plays where it seemed like Carr and his teammates weren't on the same page.

I just hope McCoy's injury isn't serious because it's gonna be tough sledding without him.

And McCoy is probably the most important guy on the OL since he is the leader and makes all the OL calls. Plus Patrick's snaps were terrible and messed up the timing on several plays. And Udoh got blown up playing LG in place of Patrick.
