So, Ya'll are Telling Me this Offense Is Built Around Taysom Hill? (5 Viewers)

We don't have a lot of depth at WR, but we've been running a lot of heavy sets with 2 WRs and running the ball. Kamara didn't have any 10+ yard runs until the late TD drive. He had 11 in the first 2 games.

The OL wasn't functional primarily because McCoy went out early in the game. And the offense was never really sharp. There were a few plays where it seemed like Carr and his teammates weren't on the same page.

I just hope McCoy's injury isn't serious because it's gonna be tough sledding without him.
Im hoping same too good sir. Atlanta is going to be a dog fight. Maybe Saints will be more geared next week. They gotta be junkyard dog like.

I don't have the data to prove this.. but I'd say losing your center (especially one of McCoy's caliber) impacts your teams ability to win more than losing most teams QBs.

Teams can rely on running games and most backup QBs are serviceable and probably get more reps in practice with the 1st unit than a backup center.

That being said, if we had a decent backup guard, we probably couldn't pulled this one out. But Udoh was terrible. Which meant now you were weak in 2 OL spots. One of them being the most critical OL position.

What is undeniable is how he is used to manipulate the opposing defense's personnel packages. That allows a lot of flexibility for a play caller.
But we still should have won this game.
As others have said, the MCCoy injury hurt us and they exploited the interior of our offense all game.

Coupled with that, Carr missed a lot of opportunities today. He left our defense on the field the entire game.

I didn’t think Kubiak did a good job making adjustments and I don’t think we’re deep enough at RB if we’re going to depend this much on the running game.
Fair point

We don’t know what Miller can do on a consistent basis because he hasn’t shown it, and that’s a concern. We are missing what he was drafted to provide; a capable every down back who can spell Kamara effectively. Williams seems like a great guy and a fun character, but he’s not impactful enough as a runner. People talk about adding a WR, I think there’s a much bigger need at tailback.

That's fair too.

That we did not play our best game but we kept the game in arms reach until the very end.
I feel ya
We had enough to win IMO despite the adversity that occurred.

This shouldn’t be overlooked, either. It’s not going to go the Saints way every week. There will be tough games and disappointing team performances.

Look around the league today - there were a number of surprising outcomes. That’s the way it goes in the NFL.

The Eagles lost thier best O line player. Played with basically no one at WR half the game. Yet they still put up 15 points on the backend of the game, in less than two quarters with just Dallas and Barkley.

The D got punched and they caved, like always. This D will never be elite, just good.
What? The defense bailed the offense out for three quarters. The Eagles have a good TE. The Saints don't. Imagine having Graham in this game..
