Saints can’t afford him and Brees and you know Payton isn’t cutting Brees for Teddy. But, Hill had 5 weeks as the primary backup. Payton knows what he has. Give Hill the next year or 2 to be the primary backup. Get 30-40% of practice snaps. Full game plan, full meetings as the primary backup. Not picking on Brees, but we’ve all seen that he is slowly regressing physically, which is to be expected of a 40 year old QB. Give Brees a year, possibly 2. Hill should be ready to hit the ground running

I love your enthusiasm and love watching Taysom's athletic and playmaking abilities on the field, but he would not be as effective if he was the focal point of our offense. He's not a pocket-passer nor is he Lamar Jackson.

I agree but I do think he could be a fine QB in this league. Will he be it for the Saints is still up in the air? I think Brees plays one more year for sure. So you have to ask him to wait, is he willing to do that while he still gets older? It’s going to be quite interesting to see what happens this offseason. Everything will be that much better tho if we have SB rings to show for it before it all goes down.

I have seen no insistence that CSP does not see Hill as a QB. But he does see value in a third-string quarterback that can do many things very well. Otherwise, he would be on the inactive list every week. Don't try to create a controversy where there is none.

I think SP will always employ this strategy going forward whether it is Hill or another jack of all trades player that is QB3, but also all the other things he can do.
