I'm unable to post in a thread on the EE board because my stances were not accepted by the majority there. Accused of lying, etc. A lot of the the regulars here are morally and intellectually superior to you.

Hey, if you ain't liein you ain't trying, that's what I always say.....

Ok, I've never actually said that but it rhymed so it must be true

I generally agree with you, but my one caveat is if someone posts a hot take immediately following a gut-punch loss, they're going to get more fired-up, emotional, and potentially rude responses than if they posted on a Wednesday morning. Everyone should remember this.

Many have said we should all stay off the boards for 24 hours after a loss. It's great advice. I've often failed to follow it, though.

I am probably one of the older long time members and I think some of the rudeness and personal attacks are generational due, as has been noted, to the ease on social media to say anything that probably they would not say in person to another - just my opinion I note. Honestly, I would never purposely (maybe sometimes I think about it!) insult or demean another poster. I really do try to respect all posters understanding we have all ages and passions of Saints fans interacting. When I see these threads that get more and more personal or even condescending I almost always get out of the thread and stay out. I believe is lessens the just unbelievable back and forth from members who are knowledgeable and informed, which are the vast majority of the members on this great board. As an aside, I also really appreciate the efforts of Andrus and the mods who usually are on top of things when they get askew.
I want to also thank Boutte for initiating this discussion!

I love this board. I don't post much. But I am here reading 5-10x per day for the last 20+ years, even on the old board. And you are totally correct. There a lot of regulars on this board that are much smarter than you. Just ask them. But it has definitely changed over the past few years. For instance. I'm unable to post in a thread on the EE board because my stances were not accepted by the majority there. I left the EE long ago, once I learned how this board leans and how intolerant/bigoted and hate filled those whio lean that way are. Just do as I did/do and only visit and participate on the SSF. It’s still the best Saints fan site, why I’m still here. 😊

They really do a good job here on this forum. I love the members here. I feel I can have debates with other members here without getting personal. I recently had some spelling goofs on this forum and a member commented "Fixed it for you" and I really liked that. I also made mistake of accidentally inserting politics in a thread. Mod contacted me and explained to me nicely to stay away from that .I do feel members do take care of other members here. That is what makes this forum cool. We can also knock each other with memes and have a good laugh without it getting personal. I'm considering making a donation in 2022 . Thank you Saints Report for the laughs and keeping me sane.

Its sad what the EE board has become. I used to love it. The hardcore posters there are like a team working together to hear themselves talk.

Lol you know in all honesty I think it's just the facepalm one that really bothers me.

The rest are fine. Especially the dead falcon, so if that was your doing, Dave, then cudos!
To me it's the clown emoji. It's just insulting where as the face palm seems more about the post rather than the poster.

Back in the day I would agree nowadays doing home installs, when people don't get their way they jump to straight nutso in 0 to 30 seconds
Yeah, what we're seeing online is happening more irl than people would like to admit. Which is partly why I'm such a homebody these days.

I did go to the WFT-Saints game a few weeks ago and it was a good time. But there obviously are other situations I've been in where people I was around talked rudely and loudly to each other. Needless to say, I didn't stay long.

It’s an echo chamber for sure, and to be fair those exist on both ends of the spectrum. I loathe each ‘side’.

EE was great for a long time, and for many, I’m sure it still is…to each their own. 😊

Don’t get your panties in a bunch, it’s the internet full of keyboard warriors, you let that ruin your day and they accomplish their goal.
Amen.

Yep, I spend more time on my farm with my horses and other animals than I do with people. Aside from my circle of course. It’s blissful. Lol my gf can barely ever get me to leave, I have a piece of Heaven with zero drama, why would I want to leave all the time? 😂

She does understand tho, as she moved here from Houston and can’t believe the beauty here. She’s still in awe.
