What's up with that? One poor guy made his first post ever and it was weak, but not to the point that it deserved the abuse that followed. And that's just one example I've seen over the last few weeks and it's getting worse.

This is probably one of the best moderated and civilized sports forums out there.

Venture out to other team boards and you'll be racing come to back here.

Try not to take this stuff too personal. We have a lot of posters with a sense of humor (it's a southern thing ;)), and are just having a little laugh.

It helps especially during the stressful parts of the season

Been here since 97 and I agree. Compared to other sports forums, this one is the most moderated and most civil.

Yeah, I hope so because I was just about to give it a thumbs up.

My whole purpose for posting this was to raise the level of civility a little. I see some posts about other fan forums but why should I care about that? I've been to many of them.

And yeah it's an internet forum so there's always going be some of that but it's worse here now than it's ever been.

It clearly was a joke. And I wouldn't take it all too seriously. I know sometimes sarcasm, good natured ribbing and such doesn't always translate well in this medium, but a lot of posters here know each other's posting styles well, so that helps with knowing if one is serious.
