New teaser dropped:

Looks very interesting to me!
"Station Eleven opens with a flu pandemic that wipes out the majority of the world's population. The novel follows disparate groups of survivors in the post-apocalyptic world, including a traveling symphony of actors and musicians, as well as key figures prior to the pandemic itself. The series will star Davis as Kirsten, Patel as Jeevan, David Wilmot as Clark, Nabhaan Rizwan as Frank Chaudhary, Philippine Velge as Alexandra, Daniel Zovatto as The Prophet, Petty as The Conductor, Bernal as Arthur, Caitlin FitzGerald as Elizabeth, and Danielle Deadwyler as Miranda."

Comes out on Thurs, Dec 16th

This looks interesting to me too.

I guess I have more faith in humanity and God to think that people would be as cutthroat as they are on The Walking Dead. At some point, people would have to realize that they have to pull together to get through it.

After having been through several hurricanes, I see more people helping each other than people looting.

My cynical take on that is that it's localized damage - even a large hurricane X miles away everything and everyone is fine

"if we can band together and just last a little while longer we'll be helped/rescued/saved'

No matter how dark the tunnel, you know it's a tunnel and and you know there's a light at the end of it

If you remove that and know that the whole country (or world) is in the same boat I can see things turning into a dog eat dog, every one for themselves sort of situation

This is one of the most amazing fiction novels I’ve read in the last five years.

Canadian writer. It was on my radar as a “local work” but ended up being soooo much more than that.
i happened to just finish this book. It was absolutely fantastic.

FYI--Looks like the first 3 episodes released last night on HBO Max.
Also noticed it was 'certified fresh' on RT, with a 95% on critics reviews.
Hope I can get to it this weekend.

Was able to watch the 1st episode last night, wow...that was about as good of a start as one could expect. It def hits quite different than a 'typical' post apocalyptic show...and given the state of our world, it can make you a tad uncomfortable, but I like that.
Very hyped to see where this goes...
