SXSW Bully sucker punch. Justified or cheap? (2 Viewers)

What a great video. While most by-standers are either entertained by the situation, or are too pre-occupied with filming it on their iphones, or are too drunk, or are too timid to do anything about it; the puncher knows early on that HE'S going to do something about it, even though he clearly looks uncomfortable with the situation.

Notice the guy who got slapped in the face, tried to kick the bully in the nuts after he'd been knocked out. That probably takes it a little too far.

I'm not trying to take credit for that punch at all it was a cheap shot but before the video started this had been going on for about 5mins and I waited patiently to see if 2 guys would eventually fight back or if anyone else would step in, not waiting for the"perfect chance"to hit that guy. They never did and he punched the man in the black tshirt after he told him countless times he didn't want to fight I couldn't stand to see anymore nonsense not tryin to get arrested I ended the problemquick

The punch might have been a bit justified, because the guy picking the fight was being a bully. However, a different tact might have been more prudent. You can't just sucker punch someone because you don't like the way they are acting.

Consider for a moment that the guy fell and hit his head, which put him into a coma. This video would have become evidence in an assault investigation. Consider that he died while in the coma. Then it becomes either a manslaughter, or homicide investigation.

While the guy was an idiot and deserved to look like a fool, it was the guy who punched him who could have become the bigger fool, and thrown his life away because he tried to play the hero.

Just my perspective.

Dude deserved it and I'm glad he got it. But the dude who punched him was a little too opportunistic for my tastes.

He apparently had nothing to do with the original situation and was just looking for a perfect place to hit someone without actually being in much danger himself. That's kinda wussified in its own right.

But I don't really care all that much. Just probably wouldn't be friends with a dude like that.

For my two cents, the guy that kicked him in the nuts is probably the only one that had a dog in this fight. The guy that hit him first had no business in it at all, sure the guy probably deserved it(we don't really know how it started)but the guy that did it, did not have any business doing it.

It's better than letting those other two guys get picked on, IMO. According to the comment posted above, the incident had been going on for around five minutes and no one else was stepping in to do anything.

Could be because it was no one elses' business. If the two that were involved didn't want to at least try to take care of it, why was it this guy's business? The short answer-it wasn't-I hope he goes to jail.

I guess bullying is okay with you? I don't know how it'll stand legally, but personally, I think the guy got what he deserved.

Not sure that's the guy with the camera blabbing about the cops; the crowd was thick, probably moreso once the cops were there.

Deserved every bit. And scre that woulda coulda shoulda crap. Maybe he goes into a coma bs. What if a gun was pulled.

I hate bullys. They pick on the week and those that dont want to fight and keep at it till they hurt someone. Im ex army and dont stand for that and woulda hit the dude myself. It certainly ended all the bs didnt it.

no, bullying is not ok. To me, this guy didn't act like a bully. He acted like a mad(obviously-a stronger word should go here) person, so who made him mad? The two that might have started it, and then decided not to fight. We just do not have the answers. But either way, it was not this guys business.
