Put an x receiver on the field that draws some double man or zone coverage, and Juwan should be racking up 7-70-1 every game. Right now, he's inconsistent, and has been nicked up.

Agree with all you posted but I am one of probably a select few folks who’d hoped we’d draft two TE’s this go ‘round.

I'd still think about doing it if the right guys fall to us. I just don't want to be forced to do it which usually results in reaches.

You know that those numbers are dependent on snap counts & targets.
It just depends on how this staff uses him.

CKM offense uses TE more that what JJ has seen in his career.
It will be interesting to see how Carr adjust to this offense since he doesn't look for his TE as much...

I think you can keep him at TE and essentially use him that way by putting him in motion out of the H-Back or in-line position. That way you might get the advantage of a LB or Safety covering him.

Meh. He doesn't crack the starting line up on any other team. Since day 1, he's always been about "potential" that is never seen. Was really hoping they would have let him walk.

He actually seemed to get Kubiak's offense quickly last year. Also, one of the strong points of Moore as an OC is that he has no pure system. He uses lots of things from different systems so he can use concepts and plays that Carr likes and is good at already. The main issue may be terminology, but Moore uses West Coast terminology which Carr already knows from Gruden.

I'm pretty sure ther started doing more stuff like that with him and stopped trying to keep him inline where he struggles. Just let him be a Big X/Receiving TE.

He didn't look as fat either down the stretch, so maybe they had him shed some weight.

Yeah I remember vaguely him speaking on the difficulties always picking up a new offense year after year

I had a feeling, they made him into what he is and I am glad he is back. a really good clutch TE and blocker. I can see him getting better!

I can see him getting better, but probably not for the same reason you're thinking.
