Teams calling the Saints about Lattimore; Commanders, Chiefs, Chargers, & Ravens are legitimately interested & actively bidding (1 Viewer)

He’s the NFLs version of OKC Russell Westbrook.

He’ll put up stats and win in the regular season/awards but come playoff time leaves a lot to be desired.

Didn’t we have enough of that from 2017-20?
What does this even really mean, how many of the league regarded top 10 QB's have SB wins or even made it to the SB. Lamar was one game away from making the SB last year. You would have to be out of your mind to not what him as a starting QB.

On a side note, since we are in rebuilding mode, we really should call up Sean Payton and see how much he's willing to give up for Taysom Hill to be his wildcard. I love Hill and what he can do for this offense, but he's 34 and will be 35 next season. He is just going to keep getting injured given how physical he plays and the recovery is going to be harder at his age. And this team is rebuilding.

I’m calling a 4th round pick with upgrade to a 3rd based on playing time.

No way I’d do that. He’s better than Sneed and they got a 3rd for him. I’ll take their 2nd or both 3rds. Otherwise I keep him.

Maybe, but since the Chiefs 4th is more like a 5th, I'd want a 3rd that can become a 2nd or even a 1st.
I think, even with his injury history, a 4th round pick should be the floor. If Loomis trades him for a 5th, he should be fired also.

Straight up, both 3rd round picks, or a 3rd that can accelerate into a 2nd rounder. Maybe a potential 2026 pick if they sign him to an extension next year. Like the Atlanta/Jacksonville trade.

Okay, now how many games did he miss before the last two years compared to now? And he STILL won DPOY in 2017 with missing a game or however many. He is not always injured. Plenty of players miss a game or two a year, doesn't mean they are always injured.
Which begs the question...What have you done for me lately? Playing in only 24 of the past 43 games and counting...Missing 19 of the past 43 games...44%.

That's like saying MT13 is still elite and can still be counted on bc he was in 2017.

You can only squeeze so much juice from a turnip.

Latt may have a bit more juice left but it doesn't help if he's on the shelf.

Right, let’s do a CJGJ style trade with Lattimore.

I’m sure Loomis will trade Lattimore for a 7th round pick in the 2026 draft. He has done a lot of good things as a GM, but his trades have been horrendous.

I think a lot of Lattimore's "injuries" had a lot to do with him not liking DA and not being willing to play hurt but not injured for DA. Which has its own issues. Still, we are in rebuild mode and it's time to move on from Lattimore.

I mean you can only get what the market is offering. CJGJ tanked his trade value by being a giant pain in the arse in training camp. Teams knew we had to either cut or trade him so the offers were based on that.

I'm not a fan of Loomis' trades overall, particular his trade ups in the draft, but I don't think the lack of value for CJGJ was really his fault. Although maybe the organization should have realized earlier that they were going to have to trade him and would have gotten better value before CJGJ went nuclear.

Lattimore is the only player of value who's contract was already "modified" to make moving him possible. I think it's a far gone conclusion that he will be shipped before 4pm. Whatever the compensation it was inevitable IMO.
That was before Adebo, Payton, and Lattimore himself were hurt. The starters vs. Atlanta could be Taylor, Jean-Charles, and Herndon.

Yes, and then the odds are good that he'll squander whatever future pick is acquired in a reachy move up on Day 1 of the draft.
