Teams calling the Saints about Lattimore; Commanders, Chiefs, Chargers, & Ravens are legitimately interested & actively bidding (1 Viewer)

we're already down Adebo and Koolaid. I dont see us moving Latt unless hes pushing hard for a trade behind the scenes

I would say at this stage, current roster status/needs should be pushed to the back-burner. We’ll manage with what we have.

It won’t be said by anyone, but winning games this year is no longer the priority.

Trade Lattimore, who will play corner?

Lattimore is a 28 year old Corner who has missed a lot of games the last few years. Moving him helps the cap and helps the rebuild. The reality is the team firing Allen so early yesterday and before the deadline was raising the white flag on this season and letting everyone know the entire Saints roster is up for trade discussion.

Love Latt, but the reset is beginning and he's talent and cap space we simply can't afford to keep right now. Trading him now or before the league year isn't important to me, though a contender this year might offer a bit more than a team just getting it's roster in order later. A high 3rd rounder is my floor though.

If Latt is not playing because they wanted to prevent injury prior to the trade we can trey and bargin for more

if he is hurt again, take what you can get, he is a part time player ie TA

Trade should be a 2025, 3rd round pick and a conditional 2026 pick based on playing time and if the team signs him to ban extension before the 2026 draft. Maybe a 3rd (2025), a 4th in 2026 if he plays in over 60% of snaps in 2024/25, and upgrade to a 3rd (2026) if he signs an extension.

You keep thinking so.

Come on man. If you don't think Payton was in total control of who was picked and what we did to get them then I don't know what to tell you.

Either Loomis was in charge and he gets credit for all the good stuff for 15 year or Payton was in charge an he gets the credit. You can't blame Loomis for all the bad stuff and credit Payton for the good stuff. Well, you can, but it doesn't make any sense. But the truth is that Payton was in near total control of this franchise while it was good but he was also ultra aggressive in the draft and was the one pushing for the Davenport trade. If Payton wasn't in charge how could he say that he would have drafted Mahomes if he was on the board at #11 in 2017?

We tried to stay competitive, that experiment is over, lets rebuild.

Rebuilding does not mean your going to be a terrible team, it could just mean a change in defensive and offensive philosophy where the previous regime put an emphasis on a certain skillet the new one has there own emphasis and style of play.
