Teddy Bridgewater! (1 Viewer)

That would be wild if it were to happen.. just how we would have gone full circle. Not totally against it. He might be better than what we’ve got. I’m just not sure at this point in the season how easy it would be to make another change and have everyone on the same page. Receivers, o-line, etc. I know Teddy was here a few years ago, but it would be much different than Ingram stepping right back in. It would take time for everyone to get in sync. At least with the guys we have, they all practice together.

For a low pick I think this actually makes a lot of sense, unlike the plethora of other QB scenarios. Great post OP.
How about for a 3rd rounder? If he becomes a free agent and leaves, I bet we could get another 3 round comp pick if he plays well here. And that's if we decide not to keep him. He might play his way into the starting role. Who knows?

How about the adversity this roster is up against this season?! Wow

I’d love to see Teddy here. Didn’t want him to leave. But hell, if everyone is just gonna pack his bags for him again and not care for him after another 9 or so games… then don’t bother him.

It was said earlier. Teddy deserves better than that

Dudes a baller. And whatever the reasons were we won with him under center. I really thought he deserved to stay with us in the first place.

Bridgewater is on his 5th team (Vikings, Jets, Saints, Panthers, Broncos) in 7 seasons, and the Broncos will probably let him go after the season is over. Teddy is a great guy, nothing against the man, but...
He's better than anyone we have left, and I think we can get him for a 3rd round or lower pick. We can probably recoup this pick if Teddy leaves in free agency next season. I think that we can contend in the wide-open NFC this year if we have at least middling QB play. If not, I don't see us going far. He's also on a very cheap contract this season.

Bridgewater is somewhere between Jameis ( Of this year ) and Trevor in terms of what he could bring our offense.

I think yes , and bring a big play WR with him.

We aren't dead in the water but if we don't do something soon we will be.

Teddy , MT13 , Insert WR we traded for here , Harris , Callaway , TQS , Stills , AK , Ingram , Trautman , and we'll be as ready as we'd ever be to try and make a push at this thing.

I also like the move because if Teddy does well and we bring Jameis back next year , We'll have a legitimate QB battle and 2 QB's our Team loves to death.

I don't think that Teddy is a guaranteed starter anywhere next season. I think the Saints can bring him back for a chance to go to win some games and go to the playoffs, which is unlikely in Denver this season. As for next season, if he plays well, why not let him compete with Jameis for the starting job? Neither guy is under contract for next year, so it can be an open competition.

I don't know that we have the capital to trade for both Teddy and a WR unless we get a really good deal with one of those two trades. I'd prefer Teddy over Siemian but I'm not sure there is really that much of a difference there. The main reason it makes sense is because of Teddy's record with us previously. I think we'll likely stand pat at QB, but be on the phones for a receiver but whether it gets done or not I don't know (obviously). We'll find out tomorrow I suppose.

Based on... ?
Based on the games we've seen these QBs play. I'm referring to Hill and Siemian here, as we don't know what we have in Book yet. Among the three, Bridgewater is the least turnover prone and has the highest completion percentage. He's the type of game manager that would compliment this defense.

I am really warming up to the idea of bringing back Teddy. Low risk, high upside if it gives us a chance at making a run. He could be our Nick Foles. We haven't lost a game with him as our starter. I don't know if I trust Trevor or Taysom to not turn over the ball.

Did you watch Siemian play in Denver? Or are you just going by this one game? And why do you think Bridgewater is not in N.O., after being here 2 seasons?

Yes, I did see Siemian play in Denver. I watched him play quite a bit during the Broncos Super Bowl season. I think Bridgewater is not in NOLA because Carolina offered him way more money than the Saints felt that he was worth. I'm not saying he's a great quarterback. I'm saying, he fits the bill better than Siemian as the type of game manager this team needs right now. I don't think Teddy's the long-term solution, but I believe this team has a chance to win now. Why not give up a day-2 pick that we can probably recover as a comp pick a year later? Teddy's making 4.5 million dollars this season. It's a bargain.
