Roger then Nadal then Djoker lacked the fire of other eras
And they were too removed from being really pushed by the level just below them
Like if Andy Murray or Wawrinka could have mounted more consistent threats , it might have been a more exciting (competitive) era

I concur .

I think the era of Sampras and Agassi and their brethren was as good as the recent era.. i also think the era of Conners and McEnroe and Borg was the best, partially b/c tennis was FAR more popular (at least in the US) than it is now, and partially b/c i might be blinded by nostalgia .

The Tennis Channel is airing the 5th set of Alcaraz and Sinner.......Came back to my post to say: WOW! This match went well over 4 hours and Alcaraz ultimately prevailed.

It was the three best players of all time playing against each other.

I will never forget this moment for the rest of my life.

I always felt bad for Murray. He would have won 3-4 slams in any other era. I don't feel to bad though. His wife is a smokeshow.
