That Derek Carr Contract is Looking Pretty Brilliant Now (2 Viewers)

It's due to a good number of our receivers being injured in games or taking similar hits. Carr makes a lot of mistakes that even an amateur like us can see. If he has a decent supporting cast he will likely flourish and look decent. Playing for our team, it will often be a struggle for him.
OK prove it. Give me instances where a poor or wrong throw by DC got a player hurt. You made the statement now back it up , or are you just regurgitating what the whiney diva ex Saint WR posted

So you think I have tons of Saints film on my laptop, including film from practices? Yeah sure. I can't mathamatically prove the earth goes around the sun but it does. The throw to Olave was a bad throw.

My point is more that he makes a lot of mistakes a Pro Bowler making $50M shouldn't and the team will never win unless the roster around him is really good. If we moved Carr to say the Dolphins he would probably look pretty good there as the talent around him is good and he'd generally not have to dodge a pass rush. Playing for our team with our Oline, he will never be able to raise the level of the players around him.

Yes you can mathematically prove that the earth goes around the sun. Passes do not get WR's hurt in practice. Ok , find 3 examples of what you say or you're just speculating

No I can not do the maths for that myself. Just like I don't have time to pour through film I don't have.

Just this year he has thrown similar balls to Hill, Shaheed, Olave and Means that made me cringe.

Carr misthrows high over the middle several times a game. This is a Junior Varsity mistake kids have drummed out of them.

Never said Carr was a bad QB. Just that he doesn't win you games on his own. And several times a game he panics and makes mistakes that seem very amateurish.

David Carr and Taysom will together take up Mahomes level of Cap and for what?

What you are stating as fact is purely conjecture and opinion. And you can't give examples of what you are saying to prove your point.
You make wild claims like "Carr misthrows high over the middle several times a game. This is a Junior Varsity mistake kids have drummed out of them" And then say I don't have time to prove my accusations LOL
You might as well say " Carr wears a dress and walks down Bourbon st " but I don't have time to prove that I'm just blowing smoke , SMH
I think you are just regurgitating what a whiney diva ex Saints WR that is bitter because he was once great and now nobody wants is posting on social media says

All qbs make poor throws in every game if they didn’t there would be very few incompletions and zero interceptions.

I don’t think the throw to Olave was a bad throw persay a lot of us are ignoring the defender in that situation the injury to Olave was on him.

I disagree that Carr got Olave hurt, but what I do agree with is Carr makes some bad decisions.

He is marginally better than Mason Rudolph. Sure he can play well and win games if everything is perfect and that’s just not what you want out of a QB you’re paying like a franchise QB. His teammates need to play well in order to elevate his play. That is the reverse of what you expect and what you want to occur. His play should be elevating the play of the other players on offense. Having a franchise QB you lock a ton of money into is and should be a roster multiplier. The QB’s play, quickly decision making and accuracy should turn OK WR’s into good pass catchers. Take Burrow for example and look at Mike Gesicki. Is he really any better than Juwan Johnson? Maybe, but probably not. Burrow is able to get the ball on him in a good spot for him to make the grab. He is turning an average TE into a good TE. Carr too often gets the throw to his target but it’s not really in a spot where they can do much with it. Worse yet it is behind them or low so they are slowing to catch it or moving their eyes which does put his pass catchers at risk.

None of this matters a hill of beans because we are stuck with him for the foreseeable future. The best we can do is fix the line and get him a few more seconds to be more accurate with the ball. He is better than Winston, Haener and Rattler. He does know where to go most of the time and outside of when he gets rattled he makes decent decisions. He just needs to be more accurate on ball placement, but at 10 plus years in I think he kind of is what he is.

I would think my best comparison of DC would be Goff. Yes Goff made it to the SB but that was with a very good HC and team and of course he never would have if not for the no call. Give DC a very good offensive HC and a good supporting cast and you'll get the same results that you get from Goff
People just say anything on this website. Big difference between Carr and Goff is Goff can actually stand up and play well against stiffer competition, while Carr only plays well against bad competition. Carr is more similar in his career to Andy Dalton than Goff. No way in his 12 year career is everyone else around him responsible for his 0-1 career playoff record. Goff has been to a super bowl and an nfl championship game with 2 different franchises.

Goff wins 59% of his games and Carr wins 45%.

It's not even close who the better big game player is and thats a huge difference.

Yes people say anything on this site , they actually think that the QB is solely responsible for W's and L's even though there are 10 other guys on the field with the QB at the same time AND the QB does NOT play on the defensive side of the ball. LOL SMH.
Maybe you should revisit the TEAMS that Goff was on and compare the players and the coaches. Also you might revisit the 2018 NFCCG and especially look at the " NO-CALL" that cost the Saints a trip to the SB
Also look at last yr's Lions team that has 19 top 100 draft picks over 4 yrs and has maybe the 2 best coordinators in the league SMH
