The case for not bathing (2 Viewers)

So, by this I am to assume the homeless guy that I get a coffee for sometimes wouldn’t smell bad then? He’s gone long enough without a bath or shower to certainly qualify for this to be true. Tomorrow if I see him I’ll see if this is true.

Could also be that their primary mode of transportation involves livestock?

Well, no, a lot of them ride bicycles. And I know the difference between those two smells. :hihi:

Hmmmmm... So,... is this your secret to your total babeness, or is this the procedure that contributes to the "mad" thing?

:ezbill:
Surrius question? I dunno, I just got tired of not seeing any difference between shampoos despite all the marketing claims and my hair feeling like straw. And I'm against the high prices of most beauty products in general knowing I'm paying for things not having to do with the actual product (advertising, packaging, unnecessary ingredients like fragrances, etc). I don't wear perfume (an occasional body spray) or deodorant and I've been told I smell good, so I guess I'm okay. I'm not, I don't think, OVERLY obsessed about the chemicals in products except for not wanting to use things on my skin that contain alcohol, but it has the same effect by wanting to use more DIY kind of things like making my own body scrubs containing the natural ingredients.

We have had Amish folks come in to my husband’s business. Presumably they have the same hygiene habits as 200 years or so ago. A weekly bath, I’m guessing. No electricity and no running water.

The smell is noticeable in most cases. Not every single one, but a fair proportion smell bad. Even in winter.
I used to live one county over from Lancaster, PA. Oy, the smell coming from the manure-fertilized fields.

Bump. I recently saw a lot of comments on a post on Instagram that suggest white people don't wash their legs. Taylor Swift said she doesn't wash her legs and that 'the soap from the upper part of her body runs down her legs and washes them.'

I am white. I wash my legs every day. Those dead skin cells aren't going to remove themselves. I run, go to yoga and work out at the gym. Also, it's humid where I live. No way I won't wash my legs.

You should be washing your legs, people. Especially anyone who lives in a place with hot, humid temperatures, works out on a regular basis, works outside or in a very dirty job. If you don't, it's gross and I'm judging you.

I asked my best friend when she was here visiting me last weekend if she washes her legs (she's white). She said no. That she uses body scrub a couple times a week and asked if that qualified.

So who here does not wash their legs?

I had a nurse tell me that the two places people usually miss when showering are behind the ears and behind the knee. Strange.

And get down there and scrub those feet people.

Don't be lazy.

One of my former colleagues once told me "the backs of fat people's knees stink". I never asked him how he knew that. I strongly suspect he used to hook up with a big girl from one of the remote clinics who was part of the first team I was on when I started at the company. Now every time I see her pop up in my social media I can't help but think: "was it the backs of your knees that stunk?"

I have never had anyone smell the backs of my knees.

I haven’t washed my face in 20 years. No soap, or any kind of a cleanser at all. I have nearly perfect skin and haven’t had a zit on my face in 2 decades. And it isn’t as if good skin runs in my family. It doesn’t. True story.

Washing your legs is not as important as washing the area between your legs...

:hihi:
