I put in a reservation for both the Terra and Traveler. I'm interested in the versions with the range extender. IMO 150miles of EV range is plenty when you have a generator to give you an additional 350miles. I also like that the truck has a 5.5foot bed, 220v and 110v outlets, and a lot of Rivian's technology.Scout EVs have arrived and are available for pre-order with 500+ mile range, but there's a catch

Unless I'm mistaken, these models will have 350 miles of EV range which can extend to 500 miles with the extender.I put in a reservation for both the Terra and Traveler. I read the press packet from Scout. The battery only version has 350 miles of range. The battery on the Harvester versions (with the ICE generator) is much smaller. It gets 150miles of range on battery alone. Then the generator kicks in to give you the additional 350 miles of range.Unless I'm mistaken, these models will have 350 miles of EV range which can extend to 500 miles with the extender.
Ah ok. That’s helpful to know. It’s definitely a sharp-looking vehicle.I read the press packet from Scout. The battery only version has 350 miles of range. That would work great for me since I rarely drive over 150 miles during my daily driving. One the weekends, when I go into the mountains, I drive a lot further. That ICE generator, of course, would let me take very long road trips without having to spend 15-30 minutes at charging stops. Normally that's not a big deal but it's a real problem driving from Denver to DFW. That corridor in New Mexico has only one group of Tesla chargers.
Seems official now. I'm kinda sad about that. I liked their funky design, but I can understand how it was not for everyone
