Apologies if this isn't the appropriate place to ask.
I am looking to open an account and get into trading...start slow and learn
What would be some of the sites you'd recommend for that?

There are dozens of platforms out there to choose from.

Depending on how much "guidance" you want?

I have a personal TD Ameritrade account and i find the platform user-friendly. They have a nice "resource" tab with videos and literature for explanations from everything to what is the Fed to market analysis.

To learn? Investopedia is full of useful info on any subject.

Been sitting on NIO for a while now. Their big surge last year has dwindled quite a bit. With China ending subsidies.. is it time to cash out and move on?

I have an IRA through Fidelity. 401k too, but that's limited options. My IRA is where I play a bit, but I don't do options, puts,.etc... not even sure if I could with an IRA.

I think the big initial question is if you want it as a trading account or a retirement account like an IRA or Roth IRA.

Yeah I have a Roth IRA that I just sort of leave be for long term type retirement investing and my wife has a 401k.
My time is more freed up currently now that I am doing little physical labor for my business and mostly consulting...so I would like to find something I can have a little fun with, learn about and try to make some money at. Start with mostly safer stuff until I get a handle on things. Maybe put 5K into an account to begin? Just wondering if any particular site would stand out above others from those of you that are experienced...

With an IRA, yes you can do options.

Fun ride with IMMX today. Poor GME and AMC getting beat down.

I am at the point now where I like days like this, where other stuff I own pops while the "mEME" world drops. Sets me up to load the profits into dips on the mothership.

Hopefully this trend line holds through this current short attack that's pushing us down on very little volume.

They are absolutely tanking the market today. Something is up.
Fed minutes hinting rate hike sooner than expected and tapering bond buying quicker. Percentage of a rate hike in March went from 50 to 75%.

Liquidated my portfolio and went all in on GME right before market close. Going to ComputerShare the rest of my brokerage GME and then wait for the tendieman to come.

My actual retirement plan through my employer is unchanged.
All in is like 2 shares, right? :hihi:
