The Mandalorian discussion thread (1 Viewer)

I have a question about carbonite. It seemed like in Empire that it was an improvised solution for locking up Han. It was on the cloud planet mining facility that really had no use for putting people into stasis. They all seemed surprised that it didn't kill him. It seemed clear that carbonite was for some other purpose.

But in the Mandalorian, it seems like it's SOP for bounty hunters. Mando had a book of those things in his hold.

Was it a coincidence that two people happened to figure out carbonite as people-transit at roughly the same general time period or did word just spread to the BH community that it worked after Jabba?
I'm going with that once Fett did it, word spread. But its possible it had been done before, but it is a big galaxy. what happens on one side of the galaxy may not be known on the other side of the galaxy.

Okay, but wouldn’t people from Mandalore be Mandalorans and Mandalorians would be from Mandaloria?

“Jon [Favreau] sent me links to reaction videos, which were just — you know, I don’t get to see these things in the audience,” Hamill said on this week’s Disney Gallery episode. “To see grown men cry and just people screaming their heads off, it was really, really thrilling for me to see them enjoying it so much.”

Just imagine how much money episode 8 would have made if they had decided to give us more of this...

We could also imagine what it would be like to no re-litigate this every time Mark sneezes or some such
