See you in like 11 hours

Those creatures in hyperspace, were they the same ones we saw in, I think, Rebels? Can't remember where, but I think Ezra befriended them? I can't remember the specifics, only that they were friendly and helped take down a mine or something like that.

I thought they were space whales too.

Yeah, that was them. They're called purrgils. I liked this as a way of introducing them into live action. It was done quite well.

Enjoyed the episode immensely. Glad this show is back.

Wow. Great opening to the season!

This show just keeps outdoing itself.

Loved the beginning and how we all assumed it was him being inducted as a child.
Purrgills! Sweet! Ezra's return is on the horizon - can't wait for Ashoka...
Loved the "Terminator" feel of the droid when it reset.
It's great how this show manages to balance having science fiction geekdom, showing strong, emotional family relationships, having serious violent battles that are life or death, and having 'cute' scenes like Grogu trying to hug the little tech guys - and somehow makes it all work seemlessly. Often those elements are mutually exclusive. John Favreau is quite the screenplay writer - and director, for that matter.
I love how they're brining in these elements from the Rebels and Clone Wars series (both here and on Bad Batch).

I'm torn. I wish Mavel would steal Favreau. But he's Star Wars through and through. That's the sort of mix the current MCU is missing. They need a Favreau clone, lol.

They had him, but Iron Man 2 really soured the relationship and he walked away from any behind the scenes roles.
