The Nascar Thread (2 Viewers)

Welp, the Deegan saga continues. She was doing fine until the end of the second stage and JHN squeezes her and gets he out of shape causing her to wreck. Just brutal luck. She also is struggling with the restarts. No idea what's up with that.

I don’t think the duration is the issue - it’s the circumstances. Kyle got a medical waiver for a racetrack injury, but I think this is quite different. But Nascar has always been as much of a promoter as a ruling body so I suspect they’ll give it to him as long as he qualifies.

Apparently Nascar has never not granted a medical waiver, Tony got one for an off-track (off-season) injury back in 2016. Chase will get in the playoffs if he wins a race or otherwise makes it on points.

Yeah, curious. It's weird because stuff like this gets talked about as if Nascar might not grant a waiver. Same sort of talk happened last season with Kurt Busch. But like you said, seems like they usually if not always grant waivers if the driver otherwise qualifies.

Interesting. Former F1 Champ will drive in the COTA race. I'm already a fan of COTA, and this doesn't hurt.

Heads up for Phoenix green flags this weekend.

I'm definitely watching Arca tonight. Their Daytona race was really entertaining. I don't know the lineup yet, but should be between 3 and 5 ladies in the race. Looking forward to it.

Watching the Xfinity race on DVR. What a finish for stage 1. BTW Josh Williams will be hit with at least a fine if not docked points and/or a suspension.

I don't blame him at all though. The was a sheety move by Nascar to park him the rest of the race. Well, he parked it alright. Good on him.

Man, that was a good race, especially the final stage. Good solid superspeedway racing. The changes at Atlanta are starting to pay off now. And Joey drives the sheet of of that 22 car. I don't think anyone thought last year was a fluke, but he's clearly nowhere near done yet.

The 7 had a great finish and the 45 fought hard all race but got outmaneuvered at the end.
