my mom rescued one and kept him as a pet for a few years. my dad bult a large outdoor cage for him. He was smart as heck. he could say certain words. like hello, bye bye, and paw paw (which is what the grandkids called my dad). This bird loved my dad. My dad had an old truck and that bird could tell when he was in the neighborhood on his way home and he would start flying back and forth yelling "paw paw, paw paw"...crows are fascinating. it is crazy how smart they are and the ability to learn quickly.

But for the walk in door, all he had was a board with a nail in the center that you twisted to lock or unlock it. he had gotten out a few times, but never went mor than just a few feet away before going back in the cage.
periodically a flock of crows would land in the yard and they would talk crow to each other (not sure if it was the same flock or not), but one day, they came in the yard, he pecked the lock, twisted it, open the door and flew off with them. we never saw him again.. i guess it was his long lost flock..lol
You going to be able to smoke enough for that?My youngest told me he wants us to make a crow birdfeeder for Halloween
I’m intrigued
