I hope so too. We'll see if he's DNP or LP today. If he's DNP, then there's a much better chance of him not playing this weekend since it's a short week. The polar opposite of the circumstances surrounding Cook's concussion. He's an "in the box" Safety/LB hybrid that plays the run, and is more enforcer than coverage guy (he also has a reputation for being a "dirty player")...
My guess is this move was made because CGJ will be in the concussion protocol for a while... His skill set translates similar to the type of role that CGJ was playing.
Just a guess though, and hope CGJ is back sooner than later.
I believe so.I remember him with the Skins. I didn't realize he moved around the league so much. Is he the guy that picked off Brees on like the first pass of a game in the Super Dome?

both Bell and CGJ are DNP today
Well hopefully we aren't signing him to play some crucial role for the defense. Just for depth and to step in once injuries hit. Here comes all the homers who have slated him for the past few years.
He’s not good and is a penalty machine. Dirty player.
And the most initialed group of safeties in football history, all containing the letter "J":Nice move. With the Addition of him and Janoris the Saints have perhaps the deepest and most talented secondary in the NFC.
