The Taysom Hill deal was for 21 million dollars! (1 Viewer)

1. It shows that the commitment is still there for Taysom to be the man.
2. It keeps under contract for two years rather than forcing us to have to make a move at the position next year.
3. It allows us to get out after two years should he prove himself incapable of being the man at quarterback.

Would have thought there would have been less guaranteed and more incentives.

Both are colossal waste of money.

I disagree. Taysom was the best player on the field in our playoff game last season. If he’d have stayed out there, we would have won.

As far as Jameis goes, I dislike him as a person. But if we can ship him off somewhere in free agency next season, we’ll get another compensatory pick in 2022. So it’ll be worth it

Pretty clear to me what this means. He’s our guy moving forward. I think we have some exciting days ahead of us. This really excites me and I really believe he can transcend the position. There is ALOT Payton can do with him and I believe we are only scratching the surface. We have kept him at bay but I bet we see the schackles come off a lot this season.

The guy demonstrates a very rare trait. He has the ability to take over games.

I don’t mind the $$ amount. Great at everything he does, has multiple roles and will be used more this season. When CSP said he was the 2nd QB and would also play the joker role, kinda have to expect his value to go up.

I would rather pay taysom this than what kamara may want at the end of the season.

9-10 per year is what I expected him to get all along. It's a fair deal if you add up what you'd pay a QB3, TE3, WR4, and special teams ace.

I expected a longer deal, however. Lol at the notion that two years is some kind of commitment. It's the literal exact opposite of that.

It’s only a couple mill more than 33 yr old Emmanuel Sanders and the joker role is huge in our offense especially since drew had said he’s ok with taking even less snaps
