While I don't know that lee would have made much difference, not giving him the chance, or changing to any other qb, or continuing to call screens and options, all showed one thing.

Saban>>>>miles

I really don't even think it's close. Miles may be a good recruiter, but as a game time decision making, clock managing, in game adjustment making coach.

He effin sucks.

I love how people think Lee was the answer. Come on fellas. Seriously.

Your best running back had 16 yards, how about you throw some of the blame his way.

Or your o-line who allowed the sack stampede.

Or your Heisman hopeful, the Honey Turd. That guy was non-existent.

He only had 5 carries.

It the playcalling.

i'm not saying lee is the "answer".. but at a certain point he was just the better option. jefferson wasn't the only one to blame. the OL sucked and so did the playcalling. but it's hard to call plays for a QB that sucks and it's hard to block 8-9 people all game long when they know what you're going to do

Pretty depressing.

I really thought LSU would win the game, but then yesterday I found out about some guy placing a 10 million dollar bet on Bama to cover. that made me question a lot of things and all day long I had a terrible feeling about the game before kickoff.. Oh, well. Still a great season though. Proud of my tigers.

A Saints victory over the 9ers will make me forget this loss really fast.

Would like to hear more about this bet. Where'd you hear about such a thing?

I actually let it ruin the game for me.

The thing is when someone bets that kind of money he usually either knows inside information or possibly has the ability to creatively pay someone off. I know, I know, I'm being ridiculous...but I don't like to hear that someone drops 10 million-- banking on the fact that my team will lose.

When I found this out I just knew not only would LSU lose, but be totally killed. That along with that bad feeling I had throughout the day.

It sucks, but oh well. I'm just glad my Saints are still alive right now.

The O-Line and the play calling was the major problem. Jefferson is bad, but they basically didn't even attempt to get the ball down field. The should have rolled him out to get away from the pressure and given him some one read go routes to Randle on the outside to at least take a shot at winning the game. Les Miles had his team play scared. There was no aggression at all.

He played okay. He made tackles and had good coverage, but McCarron was just really on last night. Beyond that, you can't expect a nickle corner to make a huge play every game and Bama did a good job of avoiding LSU's corner backs and putting LSU's slow linebackers in man coverage on TE's and RB's.

They just outplayed and out coached LSU in every phase of the game.

But, the 8-9 people problem was caused mostly by the terrible play calling. There was no need to drop anybody past three yards from the line because LSU only tried to throw the ball five yards or more past the line like 5 times.

As for Lee, I think the major failing this year is the fact that they did not get Mettenberger ready for this game. They had an entire year to get him ready and get him game experience and they did not do it. I would have much rathered give Mettenberger a shot last night. If he succeeded, great. If not, at least you got him some live action in a meaningful game against a great defense. Lee was never going to be good and he is graduating anyway. If you are going to throw a wild card out there, why not let it be a guy with some upside?

At least you have the Saints. :9:

and the terrible playcalling is due to having no trust in a terrible QB (and people thought it was all crowton's fault the last couple years). they really only went downfield twice and JJ missed both passes. he hit beckham once on that 19 yarder so i guess you can count that as another time but even that wasn't a good pass. everything they did was predetermined because he can't read defenses and i'm surprised bama didn't get a couple more picks jumping routes.

basically when your QB situation is at the point where you have to cherry pick the few bright spots out of the pile of doodoo which is his career in order to justify playing him.. you have a big problem. there was no bright spot cherry picking necessary with Lee this year.. it was only done when people wanted to point out the few negatives of his season.

in the end.. all this only makes me appreciate what we have in drew even more.
