I don't really want to get too deep into it, Sack, because it's not the point. It doesn't have much to do with the jabroni that purposely flaunts lsu gear at a Saints. But you're falling into the trap. It's a fallacy, mang. Don't get hoodwinked.

I spent 6 years in that godforsaken, cultureless hive of scum and villainy. I'm obviously speaking in absolutes here, but those people hate you. If you're from New Orleans, they hate you. They look down their nose at you, the feel superior to you, and they don't understand you. You put them ill at ease, because they feel somewhat intimated and competitive with you, and this leads to resentment of you. They don't identify with you.

I graduated from there. I saw them from the inside. I saw the looks on their faces in tiger stadium during the Katrina season. There's no brotherhood there.

If you love New Orleans and the saints, then in most cases lsu and Baton Rouge is your rightful enemy.

QFFT1!

i spent two months at the Bluebonnet apts. cuz of that stupid ***** that came thru in 2005 and those ***** gave everybody from down here a bad time. i became cool w/s of the peeps when i started working at Nino's. all in all **** BR!

Anyone else think we are going to beat the ever living crap out of Detroit?

They are so undisciplined..I can't wait to see how much our crowd noise rattles them! I'm usually not this insanely optimistic, but I feel REALLY good about this game.

Saints 38
Lions 10

just bought two tickets to the titans game. ladyfriend has been bugging me about going to the nashville science museum because of some moon gravity simulator, so i told her id take her if we went to the titans game.

Another win!

I knew the Detroit team was undisciplined but seeing them in live action makes you really appreciate how unintelligent they are.

I'll tell ya, Schwartz= Haslett. Their football IQ is by far the worst in the league. I feel sooo sorry for Lion fans.

First, let me say that I'm totally spoiled by how good this team is. I expect them to win every game. It's really quite ridiculous for me to have such high expectations, but I do, and it's not my fault. It's Payton and Brees'. It's getting to the point that I take how good they are for granted.

Second, I still have no idea what to make of this defense. We still don't seem to get any pass rush, our DBs are, shall we say, inconsistent. But yet we held a pretty good offense to 17 points (with the help of their stupid penalties).

Is it possible that defense doesn't matter (as much) this year? The packers d sucks, as does the Patriots. I dunno mang. Part of me thinks our defense will hurt us in the playoffs, and part thinks it's good enough.

How are we supposed to tell?

we took the packers down to the very last play on the road.. so i think we'll be fine as long as the offense keeps it up. i'd definitely like to see some improvement though

The Packers D has consistent playmakers that cause turnovers, this is something the Saints do not have, at least as far as the "consistent" part goes.

But well, like many other posters have discussed, we only have to beat the Packers in one game. Our D is capable of making things happen in a one game scenario and if our offense takes care of the ball as they should, well, we could possibly win in Green Bay. It's not likely, but stranger things have happened. The better we play down the stretch the more I think this is possible.
