This factually could not be more wrong.
Penning immediately loses the leverage battle and gets bench pressed back onto his heels.
At this point the defender has complete leverage and can disengage inside or out. The play was completely ruined because Penning was beat.
You can try to argue the reciever is designed to cut inside (absolutely not) but even if that was the case Penning had ZERO inside leverage.
Sorry but I disagree, while TP could have held a bit firmer the play was designed for him to turn him inside and Means to take it to the outside. Just look at how the other blocker were turning their man inside. Don't want to take my word for it? Duece McAllister said the very same thing in the radio broadcast. I kind of think he knows more than both of us put together. And Penning's reaction is that "hey you were supposed to turn that to the outside" Even some of the responses on X know it was meant to go outside LOL
