I can't even imagine that voice not being there. It would really be nice when I'm trying to fall asleep though.TIL (well, Wednesday) that 30-50% of people have no internal monologue. Mine runs constantly. I mean it never shuts off. I think to turn it off and on would be a blessing. Having a constant inner conversation with yourself many times can lead to rumination. An inner monologue can also be related to Aphantasia, or the inability to create images in one's mind. I have no problem creating images in my mind and a monologue or dialogue to go with them. This can be a blessing and a curse.
