TIL: Today I Learned... (2 Viewers)

Okay, I'll tell you but I know what kind of guff I'm going to get because it's boring. I'm just going to go for the plain cheese at a party because what I really like is never one anyone else orders. I really just prefer mushroom and cheese. Preferably extra cheese, but that's it.
So at our old place we had a gas station up the road that had the best pizza ever. I typically lean pep or pep/mush or pep/banana pepper. Stuff like that but they had the best cheese pizza ever. Man was it good and I'll certainly miss their pizza.

Won't get any guff from me. I love a simple cheese pizza every now and then. If I have a pizza with 2 toppings it's typically pepperoni and mushroom.

Normally I'll get a supreme because I like a lot of toppings on a pizza but I'll definitely eat a plain cheese pizza. Nothing wrong with that. I typically don't go for extra cheese, but I'll definitely go for a sprinkle of parm cheese on top.

my favourite is a neapolitan style, but pineapple on pizza is the bomb.
The first time I had a pizza with pineapple was at a mom and pop place on the North Shore while living in Hawaii. Been a fan ever since. Also, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had was in the Phillipines at a place called New York, or something like that.

Wow.. i lived in the Philippines for a few months and i found all the pizza to be lacking, to put it mildly.. actually, and i think ive mentioned this before- i found all of the food to be almost inedible.. which is one of the main reasons i now reside in Thailand .. while in the PI, i wound up eating every meal from a Costco-type pizza place (which was ok) or from a TGI Fridays in the mall.. if that tells you anything about how terrible the food is.. it’s wild to me that one of the best pizzas you ever had came from anywhere in the PI.. i guess miracles never cease .

It helps if you're wasted. When were you there, I was there late 80's.

TIL that the infamous ‘Jumping the Shark’ episode of Happy Days occurred relatively EARLY in the run of the series.. all these years, i thought that the Shark episode was the death knell of the series.. but it happened in basically the fourth season of the show (in the year 1977) and there were SEVEN more years of the show after Fonzie’s shark jump.. it’s crazy how wrong my perception was, because of what JTS has come to mean .
