Saints Tired of Disappointment. (1 Viewer)

This organization is a collection of failures. Take away 2009's magic and every year is either abject failure or some inexplicable statistically improbable melt-down. I had zero doubt in my mind the defense would give up a bomb. Most fans here felt it.

Failure is our culture. We are either outright regular season losers or post-season losers. We are never comfortable with a lead because we've seen too many blown leads by us. We are never comfortable from behind because we KNOW a turnover, penalty or some mind-numbing idiotic play is about to happen.

This franchise is cursed. People will be upset and neg rep but will have zero facts to disprove what I've said.
If us Saints fans are honest, we have to admit that your point is correct.
How can we deny it?
Every season, except for 2009, has ended in disappointment - some of it bitter.
I don't like using " cursed " as the reason this is true, but it definitely is.
I love the Saints.
Have been following them since their inception [ back off, you young whipper-snappers ].
I will always be a fan.
If stress strengthens your muscles, then my heart must be super human, based on all of the stress the Saints have given me over the last 5 + decades.

Basically every franchise besides the Cowboys, Packers, Steelers, Niners and Patriots thinks they’re cursed at this point. This is just how the NFL is. The Bills have their best team in two decades and were the consensus favorite to make the Super Bowl out of the AFC, and they just lost to the forking Jags.

Does anybody else think that this game reminds you of the Minneapolis miracle. I’m tired of watching the team fight and claw and come back and go ahead and then we allow the other team to throw a big bomb boom. All it seems to take is one play to pull out a gut wrenching loss from the jaws of victory.

Vernon Davis, Stefon Diggs, George Kittle (not a bomb, but the yardage of one, which makes it even worse since it snowballed from such a short gain), and now who ever the Falcon was that did it today.

WHY DO THEY ALWAYS HAVE THESE FLAT GAMES THATS THE POINT. HOW ABOUT NOT COMING OUT FLAT FOR ONCE
Wonder how Dallas feels today! Every team has these kind of days, although that is no consolation for this debacle.

So Tom Brady has won 7 Super Bowls---the other 13 seasons=complete failure..........got it.

How fast does the room clear when you guys show up to parties?

The true nature of sport is heartbreak, with rare exceptions when you have a team with a dynasty or your team has a magical year like we did in 09. You mention Minnesota. They have lost 2 OT games this year, lost another when their kicker missed a 37-yarder as time expired, and lost another by letting Dallas' backup QB go on a game-winning TD drive in the final minute.

Plus, they know they're 4-1 against us in the playoffs but lost the one that mattered most. I watch football every Sunday in a group that includes a Bills fan. On paper, they should be a Super Bowl contender this year and they lost 9-6 to the Jaguars today.

I'm bummed about today, too, but as I told my nephew a long time ago, being a sports fan means you have to be strong enough to let your heart get broken again and again and again.

No. The end of this game reminds me of the 9ers game, where Greg Williams kept blitzing and allowed their QB to torch us in the final moments of the game.
Same scenario today. Why on earth did Dennis Allen call a blitz, leaving our DBs playing one on one man coverage??
Matt Ryan had been beating the blitz all day. Dumb play calling by Allen there.

Dude - focus.
Every season except one has ended in disappointment for Saints fans.
A handful of those have been bitterly disappointing.
That's 52 seasons of disappointment, going on 53.
SaintsFanInLA has made a valid point.
Now if he is taking it to the extreme of saying we should no longer be fans, then I don't agree with that.
But I don't think he is saying that.
Geaux Saints !!!

If you are only looking for SB rings, ..
How about JUST FOUR QTRs of Hard Fought Football instead of that garbage we saw today!

Esp with FIRST PLACE in the Division right there for the taking!

Inexcusable on their part!

(And then when you throw in THIS IS THEIR FRICKING JOB that they get paid the Big Bucks to do.)

LOL, oh wow

OK Mr Focused, since we're being literal here, why are you even bothering? 52 seasons of disappointment going on 53? A culture of failure? What sane person would continue on? What changes would you make to guarantee a Super Bowl win every year?

Or.....are you being a wee bit dramatic after a last second loss that leaves us at 5-3 & still in position for a playoff spot. You failure fans do realize 31 teams end the season in bitter disappointment right? All part of the fun
