Saints Tired of Disappointment. (2 Viewers)

The bucket where I kept my disappointment is dry and dusty. Long ago drained.

It is upsetting to be down by 18 points, ultimately come back and take the lead, then give up one deep bomb to seal our fate. Yes. It is disappointing. I thought we were going to be able to have another Falcon’s choke to joke about for years to come. Oh well. Hopefully we learn from it and move on. I think from this we can safely say that Adebo should probably have help in that situation, going against a big speedy receiver with the game on the line.

Because people are simply trying to put in perspective how every fanbase basically (except the Pats maybe???) has their share of downfalls they constantly experience with their team yet we have folks in here acting like we are the ONLY fanbase that suffers this. It's hilarious.

No one is saying not to be mad or upset when we lose games like this. But the "WOE IS US. WE WILL NEVER BE HAPPY. OUR LIVES AS SAINTS FANS ARE THE WORST OF ANY FANBASE" is silly.
I agree we're fine b/c we are what we are and since Payton and Brees, that's a good football team w/ a good organization leading it. That will pretty much make the playoffs every year. Regular season, we just play down to bad teams and that's a fact since Payton took over but yes we have won more overall during the regular season since Payton took over as well.

The constant heartbreak/tough losses seem to be when we get to the playoffs. Our defense was crap before the last four years but then as the defense was getting better, the offense seemed to be less than stellar. The Minnesota loss, the Rams no call, then losing to two lesser teams in playoffs in the last four years just makes us feel it even more, the losing. Now, judging by today's games, the same things that had us lose in those playoff games, reared their ugly head today, bad offense, bad clock mangement, penalities, a shaky OL, a defense that can't hold a team from scoring w/ little time on the clock. These things are on repeat and that's the issue. Payton and the players need to clean it up but esp in the playoffs when it really matters.

I don't mind people constantly grieving over the Minnesota Miracle or No Call. Those were peak fan heartbreaks. The Vikings and Bucs playoff losses are losses that are atypical of playoff games (only 1 team can win it all) but are compounded more because of the Minnesota Miracle and No Call.

In a vacuum, many fanbases would KILL for the success we've had. It's unfortunate about our playoff losses and REALLY unfortunate that if the refs throw the flag in 2018 then this run we are on is considered one of the greatest runs in NFL history. But some of the "woe is me" after today's loss is still silly, especially because one could argue us being 5-3 is a miracle considering all the talent we lost, injuries we've had, and hardships we've faced like hurricanes uprooting the team from their homes.

It’s hard to believe that no one saw this coming!

after almost every huge win the Saints return with a turd. I feel that’s it’s the amount of high level energy expended in the win that sets them up for this although it may also be their ego thinking their all that after winning a game they were not expected to win against an elite opponent.

I expect NFL level WRs to catch the ball. I expect a coach to realize what's working and stick with it, instead of repeating the plays that aren't working. The first drive we had the run game going, so Payton killed it with a behind the line pass, and then 2 dropped passes in a row. Every week we hear how the Saints are going to commit to the run, and then they come out throwing it. Just run the freakin' ball.

Yeah, what's he thinking calling two dropped passes in a row.

Screw 5-3, we should be 6-2 or 7-1, there's no excuse for losing to another crap team at home.

I think many of us saw this coming, or at least were very wary of counting this game as an easy or certain win.

We don’t have many NFL level WRs

Does anybody else think that this game reminds you of the Minneapolis miracle. I’m tired of watching the team fight and claw and come back and go ahead and then we allow the other team to throw a big bomb boom. All it seems to take is one play to pull out a gut wrenching loss from the jaws of victory.
You became a fan of the wrong team haha. This is all par for the course. Just enjoy the ride and laughs.
