I disagree you can’t select a kicker based off one off-season when luts has shown multiple years of being elite. Not saying the rookie couldn’t be great either but j wouldn’t take the risk off one off season.

What would be hilarious is seeing the rook try to tackle a KR that got loose.

Probably one of the toughest year of making cuts. So many that deserve to make the team at all positions.

This Grupe vs Lutz decision is tough. With a vet he's more used to pressure kicks and kicking in harsh noisy, windy, cold environments compared to a rookie. A kicker has to be 85% and 100% XP in my opinion.

Justin Tucker (Ravens) the best kicker in the league stats compared to Will cLUtz. (scroll down) Wow, what happened to Luts in 2020? He went from Elite to terrible in 2022. By the way Tuckers lifetime is 90.5 and Lutz is still a decent 84.6 ( i wish i could edit the column widths)

Agreed. Great point. You’re trying to see what you can get away with and trying new things at practice, not playing as if a game is on the line.

I’d be worried if we weren’t getting any turnovers in practice. It’d mean the defense still hasn’t improved on that aspect and allowing completions nearly every play.

Great players on both sides and some are fighting for spots so they’ll make plays. Offense appear to slightly win most practices in completions.

I be worried if we aren't getting any pass rush and or missing gaps and assignments everywhere.

I've seen the kicking carousel before go around before we got Lutz and let go of a good kicker in Dustin Hopkins. Then I saw it again when Lutz had the core injury and was out for the whole season. Yeah he had a down year last season. but it may have been because he was still healing up from his injury. I'll stick with Lutz
