Tropical Storm remnants expected to hit SoCal Sunday (Update: Game will go as scheduled) (1 Viewer)

Oh, lort, I hadn't thought of that. I hope not.
As much as I want them.to skip the game cause we getting banged up. We gotta see the depth play for accurate cuts. You don't wanna lose a diamond in the ruff cause he couldn't play adequately and then you keep the one that had the best tape between the few based on 1 game. We need all 3 games. Esp for our oline cause them back up.....whew! Yea...we need to start looking at free agency honestly.

Not sure what part of socal you live in but us folk who live in the inland empire we have to deal with the thunderstorms every august during the late monsoon season. every year I have lived here since 1962.
I've not heard about that. I've gotten my weather reports exclusively from internet sources specifically for my area, so I have no idea what the weather is like in a lot of the other areas out here.

I'm in Studio City in the San Fernando Valley. We've never gotten rain in August. I've seen lighting and heard thunder four times since living here. Orientation to the coast and mountain ranges probably have a lot to do with the differences in regional weather.

I don't know how the rainfall forecast compares to what's normal for your area, but it's nearly double the amount of rain we got here in any one day, even during last winter's record breaking rains for this area.

Each day I hope the rainfall forecast comes down and each day it goes up a little bit. Hopefully, that will change starting Saturday.

Most of us are from Louisiana. I've lived in SoCal and Louisiana over the last 30 years. This is the first time I've ever seen this on the West Coast.
I'm from Lake Charles, so I know this won't be anywhere near the wind and tornado impact that a hurricane is. It's all that rain all at once that LA does not have the infrastructure to handle. Outages of all kinds could be disruptive. Landslides and flash floods in the hills and mountains can be life threatening, especially in burn areas.

I've never once had to consider moving stuff in my garage higher so it won't get flood damaged. That's a possibility now. I'm on the second floor, so the worst case scenario for me is that my apartment building gets a couple of feet of flooding into the ground floor, so I'll have to move out until they do repairs and mold abatement or the landlords just take a loss and demolish the building. I'm in a rent controlled apartment. If they demolish and rebuild, my rent would sky rocket to amount I couldn't afford or find anywhere else in LA. Some people have golden handcuffs, I've got a golden jail cell.

I'm not concerned about injury or dying. I am concerned about getting completely uprooted with not many options and no good ones.

Cant play Saturday. Rams play. It is a terrible drive to get there as it is. I was excited to take the family but I don’t know, as bad as these people drive in the rain… it’s ASTONISHING, really. Not sure I can risk it

Zero chance. It almost feels like they’re intentionally trying to get it cancelled instead of going through the hassle of moving it.

Could the Saints be back on a plane to Nola tonight? Crazy to think they would be going home to avoid a tropical event in California.

I would think yes - hard to see what reason there is to stay

My guess is a cancellation out of concern for the employees and any attendees who would be at the game. If they do try to play I see a much earlier start so people can get home/ on team flt prior to heavy rains snd flooding. No big loss other than for borderline players fighting for jobs!

I have mixed feelings about this because the safety of people is more important than the game, but I would love to see the young talent get the opportunity. My greediness to see Saints football makes this good news for me. But I would like for it to be postponed or moved to another time
