I have mixed feelings about this because the safety of people is more important than the game, but I would love to see the young talent get the opportunity
Doesn't the stadium have a roof, but with open ends to the stadium! For me if that is the case the issues really relate to the fans, employees and team getting to and from the stadium on Sunday!I just question how reliable any of it is if the conditions are terrible - you can’t really judge play in wild and unusual conditions.
Plus it seems like the chance of injury is increased. I guess we’ll have to see how the conditions actually play out.

Eh. The more I read about this storm, the more I feel like it’s partly being sensationalized by the media due to its current “Hurricane” status, and also there’s an abnormally increased panic in California just because they’re not used to dealing with these things.
If it is making landfall as a tropical storm, by the time it gets to where the team is, it’ll be akin to a mere bad thunderstorm.
Play ball. If you wanted to go to the game but think it isn’t safe, don’t. But I trust the team and the league’s judgment on this one.
I moved here from South Louisiana a couple years ago (for context). I definitely think there's a bit of panic & sensationalism (as always). But the legitimate concern will be flooding. The infrastructure here is not engineered for this kind of weather event. With that said, I think by the time the game is over, people should have ample opportunity to get home safely. The hypothetical flooding probably won't occur until late into the night.Eh. Be specific with what you are alleging. You're not making any sense.Im going to throw this out there because I am willing to wager 99.99% of you are unaware. I know most if not all are fully aware of how Storms are named and renamed every 6 yrs.. I am willing to bet many of you are unaware of the EXACT NAMED STORM [ Hilary ] in JULY 2017 with almost the EXACT PATH and expected landfall. I discovered this 2 days ago while researching, btw, I am from NOLA Born and raised, not to mention I have worked in NOLA for the SPRO [Strategic Petroleum Reserve Operations} as well as the Nuclear Division for DOE. Make of it what you will, but things are not what you think they are. YES, you would be very surprised at how much disinformation by design is actually taken place. Deeper than MOST OF YOU can ever imagine>>Facts!!!
If the game had been 1 of 7 games like today, I have no doubt it would be cancelled. They considered moving up the time … … … apparently TVmust mean more
Exactly … and don’t get me wrong, as a Who Dat I’m thrilled because I was bumming “knowing” the game would be cancelled. … There were going to be more transplanted Who Dats than Chargers fans there anyway … and I live for pro football … but I do realize and will admit this is also a simple sign of the only thing the NFL thinks aboutIf the game had been 1 of 7 games like today, I have no doubt it would be cancelled.
But it’s the only game on that day. It’s prime time. And they’ll win the night in the ratings.
Yep, the flooding has the potential to be a real problem out here in So Cal. I think if I was the powers that be, I would have cancelled the game to keep those extra thousands of cars off the highways. I think the stadium will be empty. The Chargers are one of the stingiest owned teams in the league, so they probably wanted to play the game due to the gameday $ the team was looking at losing.
