Tropical Storm remnants expected to hit SoCal Sunday (Update: Game will go as scheduled) (1 Viewer)

Watched AccuWeather channel this morning with them forecasting heavy rain in the Los Angeles area this afternoon between 3 and 6 their time which is game time. I can't see officials allowing the fans to travel in that kind of weather that they aren't accustomed to doing so. It's possible they pressure the NFL to cancel the game gets prior to kickoff. On the other hand, if nobody shows up the game could still be played.

“Seems it never rains in Southern California
Seems I’ve often heard that kind of talk before
It never rains in California
But girl, don’t they warn ya
It pours, man, it pours”

(Albert Hammond 1973)

I read earlier schools haven’t even been closed tomorrow yet.

One thing is for sure, either one side is going overboard with this story or one side is not taking it seriously enough. No in between.

I’d tend to think the game would have been cancelled by now. I’d also imagine that the state/county has already signed off on it.

So let me get this straight, we’re worried about a game being canceled in a retractable roof stadium with remnants from a tropical storm? Not an actual travel storm just bands of weather, correct? Why would they cancel the game? Do they cancel games if they have a severe weather alert? Because this is essentially more normal every day run-of-the-mill thunderstorm am I wrong?
Not really. It is California. They have little understanding of things like this. Their fear is hyperexaggerated and they do not listen to the details when they come across the news. There were people in the supermarkets Friday and Saturday hoarding food, water, and you guessed it, toilet paper. They really believed a cat 4 hurricane was coming despite the reports saying it was going to weaken tremendously by the time it hit So Cal. Not even realizing that its just a big rain event, they're on social media spreading fear to whomever listens. It's annoying to the max.

People are learning. The NFL will refuse to cancel anything that involves the refund of money. Unless cancelling (or postponing) the game is necessary due to public pressure or could cause a "black eye" to the NFL shield.

When is the last time the NFL has voluntarily made a proactive decision.

I remember when the No Call happened and Payton was super vocal about to the point that they put in that sham PI review rule. Then, NFL gave us the most lopsided officiating in NFL history till Payton quit.

NFL is a joke and only care about money in hand over lives.

I was hoping they would move the game to noon.

I'm in Dallas (wearing my Saints colors) for the Metallica concert at 6.
I heard that concert was wild on Saturday. Enjoy the show 👍

Correct, if it hasn’t been canceled by now it just goes to show city officials and the NFL aren’t too worried about this storm. Which the NFL isn’t ever worried about anything but the $$$

I guess the league and the owners take that capitalist society thing seriously.
