N/S Tyreek Hill arrested for traffic violation by stadium in Miami on gameday (Hill played) [Reckless driving & seatbelt charges dismissed] (1 Viewer)

A lot of blame to be shared here from all parties involved.

Though I respect their authority, I do have a disdain for police officer “bully tactics,” the types that think just because they have been given a gun and a badge it gives them a right to be a certified jerk; and I think this is what’s on display here at certain intervals.

That being said, what in the hell are you doing driving that fast Tyreke, especially on a game day, then not complying and showing contrition once caught?

Nearly 2000 players get to work on game day without a hitch, week after week, year after year, and you of all people have to be the one knucklehead that finds himself pulled over and in handcuffs.

Come on man!
To be sure, we've seen video before Hill was pulled over, and he was clearly speeding, but nowhere near the 100 mph reported. Even the police report stated they estimated 60 mph, which is still too fast on that road, but not as bad as a lot of ordinary speeding stops.

Hill isn't without fault here, but it's clear that the cops could have decided to just give him a ticket and send him on his way. They acted like thin skinned power tripping dudes. They can and should be better.

Lots of overreaction. Doesnt look like there was any need for the way they acted. There needs to be some accountability. But really, do we think it’s racism? Would they have acted any differently if they open that door and it was some big muscular white dude with a bunch of tats. I don’t think so. Regardless, they shouldn’t act that way with anyone.

Nonetheless, no one can deny that cops are under a lot of pressure, and take a lot of crap from people who talk bad about them until they need them. Catch 22

Anyone got a the answer to solve it?

Again, those cops have no idea who he is and needlessly escalated the situation. They didn't escalate it because he's a criminal or anything else, they escalated it because they had no self-control.

What Hill has previously done in life is completely irrelevant here, period.
They escalated it? Do you think any of this happens if he just rolls his freaking window down like the cop asked?

Just follow a simple command. But nooooo. Got to act like an arse. No sympathy.

The answer is for cops to always be professional regardless who they're interacting with. They aren't typically interdicting criminals during traffic stops. Most are normal, ordinary people trying to get wherever they need to go, and if they get pulled over, cops shouldn't be dicks with the people they interact with.

We dont know that. They got triggered. It could well have been something else causing it.

Yeah, I've seen people try to obey commands and still got shot. Usually goes well, but that's no guarantee.

Everyone involved played a part in that stupidity, and they should all be punished for it.

Sounds like someone who’s been in trouble with the law.
No, sounds like someone who's got a brother and a father that are both judges.

Nice try though.

Let me guess - you're a cop. Because you made such a huge assumption right there about my background and guilt, if you're not a cop you'd fit right in if you were.

I don't know, the cop told him to do something or he'd pull him out of the car, then .2 seconds later says screw it and pulls him out of the car anyway.

So where is the opportunity to comply?

I think that's more because of the window thing. The cop gave him zero opportunity to get out of the car though. That was really when they needlessly escalated it. There really wasn't any reason or need for Hill to get out of the car.
