N/S Tyreek Hill arrested for traffic violation by stadium in Miami on gameday (Hill played) [Reckless driving & seatbelt charges dismissed] (1 Viewer)

So he chose to not comply at all?!?! Why not try and take your chances?
Never been in the situation, but if I’m imagining, one of the advantages of staying in the car is that it’s harder to get hit, choked and blindsided if you’re sitting in a car seat

Long criminal record. Never feel an ounce of sympathy when a criminal disobeys the police. Oh no, he got detained. Who cares?
I care when cops needlessly escalates a situation. It could have been me. It's really that simple. Hill didn't do himself any favors, but the cops can and should be better than that. Nothing about that stop was professional. If you want to make excuses for bad cops, that's your prerogative.

I get that, but comply as in roll the windows all the way down, like officer requested. Personally, if my windows are tinted to that magnitude, I’d have the windows all the way down first, before they even ask me, so they don’t think I’m a threat.

In these cases two things are almost always true.

The "Victim" is a criminal and an idiot, who I feel little to no sympathy for.

The cops are over emotional, low IQ, and either scared stupid or just stupid. There are some cases this is not the case but very rarely is the first statement untrue.

So when you mix stupid with stupid you get stupid results. I just don't generally care when a criminal is mistreated because they act like idiots. Boo hoo Tyreek. If the cop violated some law, fire him too but I have zero sympathy for Hill.

There were countless "commands" that the officers gave that were not lawful orders. If LEO expects unquestioned obedience than they need to be held accountable for lies and over-exertion of "power". Until that happen nothing will change.
Sounds like someone who’s been in trouble with the law.
C'mon man. Is that even a RESONABLE fear in that specific stop? The police have his ID, they KNOW who he is, where he's employed, Hill told them to "just give me my tickect...I'm going to be late" and they KNOW his employer because they are specifically there to serve his employer!

Is it reasonable for the Police to believe that Tyreek Hill poses any danger to them on The Dolphins OPENNING DAY!
You put your life on the line everyday. Then you can chose what is reasonable.

He had a legitimate reason for not rolling the windows all the way down as has been stated by others in this thread. That the cop didn't have the situational awareness to understand this speaks volumes. Cracking the window open enough to have a conversation and pass docs should be sufficient in this situation.

I appreciate Semper's anecdote about his anti-authority friend - I've seen plenty of video's of 'sovereign citizens arguing cops' rights to pull them over/police them -- I don't share their viewpoint at all, and feel they have very little evidence/reason to adopt that philosophy, but I get why they act that way on the moment
i'm not going to question their reaction in a heated moment - just their thought process getting to that moment

Again, those cops have no idea who he is and needlessly escalated the situation. They didn't escalate it because he's a criminal or anything else, they escalated it because they had no self-control.

What Hill has previously done in life is completely irrelevant here, period.

A lot of blame to be shared here from all parties involved.

Though I respect their authority, I do have a disdain for police officer “bully tactics,” the types that think just because they have been given a gun and a badge it gives them a right to be a certified jerk; and I think this is what’s on display here at certain intervals.

That being said, what in the hell are you doing driving that fast Tyreke, especially on a game day, then not complying and showing contrition once caught?

Nearly 2000 players get to work on game day without a hitch, week after week, year after year, and you of all people have to be the one knucklehead that finds himself pulled over and in handcuffs.

Come on man!
