What that tells me is that the level of hatred for the enemy has developed to the extent that it has reached the maximum that it can go.

My uncle told me about an event somewhat like that during WWII. They used a large cannon to shoot a German in the arse when he was squatting to take a dump. That was shortly after the battle of the bulge.

He said "we all got to the point where we hated them, hated all of them."
