Ukraine (27 Viewers)

david D.'s full post for the Twitterless:

in case you didnt know south korea has over 7 million 155 rounds, and 12000 russian ATGMs in storage..

"South Korea will map out plans to send weapons to Ukraine, depending on how Russia would react to Seoul's statement which hinted at a review of arms support in response to the development of Russia-North Korea relations on Thursday, according to the presidential office Friday.

The office added that many options concerning the weapons aid to Ukraine could be taken into consideration and that South Korea will continue its "comprehensive support" to Ukraine.

Seoul, however, denied the news report that it was prioritizing the export of ammunitions, such as 155-millimeter artillery shells and anti-tank guided missiles, to Ukraine.

This came a day after South Korea's national security adviser Chang Ho-jin told reporters Thursday that Seoul will "reconsider the issue of providing arms support to Ukraine" in response to North Korea's public announcement of the pact its leader Kim Jong-un signed with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Chang did not elaborate on whether the weapons South Korea considers supplying to Ukraine are lethal or nonlethal ones.

Chang also said Seoul will impose sanctions on four vessels, five organizations and eight individuals allegedly involved in the exchange of weapons and oil between North Korea and Russia.

In response to Chang's comments, Putin said in a press conference in Hanoi, Vietnam during his state visit there that he would make "appropriate decisions" that would not "please" President Yoon Suk Yeol.

"As for the supply of lethal weapons to the war zone in Ukraine, that would be a very big mistake," Putin said."
For those who have twitter, I as example have David D stuffed in the big dog house. Had him stuffed in that dog house for almost a year now.

This above post is a good example why. David D's post appears to be homespun narrative,,, as always.

He alludes to a lot in this missive "according to the presidential office Friday." But there's no linkage to that source, or any other source.

Indeed South Korea has the US kind of rust belt manufacturing capacity that we had during WWII. Especially for ship building. Real good quality stuff is available in South Korea.

So it would be nice if David D's narrative wasn't suspect in my book. But it is suspect.

I don’t think it would just be Hungary. Even supporters of Ukraine are going to think twice before the possibility of having to send their military forces there
They won't need to send troops. Weapons and logistical support is where the EU can be most effective, not to mention solidarity to offset the opposition of rogues like Hungary.

I believe rolling their economy into the Euro would immediately allow for serious foreign investment. Economically it's like hitting Powerball.

The fact is, the only time this war hasn't been in Ukraine's favor - despite incredible odds- is when we slow walked our aid. Shame on us that we let people die for politics.

But now, they are striking inside Russia and F-16's are about to enter theater.

The brain drain Russia has suffered from, self inflicted no less, is one major reason they aren't adapting imo. All of their best and brightest leave or fall out of windows.

Ukraine is coming up with modern warfare on the fly. Their drone army is getting to be a problem Russia can't handle. And while Ukraine is now effectively sinking ships without a traditional navy, Russia is pulling crap out of mothball.

Another example of war is hell. Soldier injured by drone points to his head and comrade without any hesitation obliges.

I think that speaks more to the Russian mindset that there will be no rescue, if there was, they return to a Country that doesn't give 2 shirts about them, so why not.

Think about the deplorable state of your country that a soldier asks to be shot dead.

No doubt.

He did ask his buddy to shoot him right where he shot him, the sign language is clear on that point .

He pointed repeatedly to the spot on his head where he wanted that bullet to go. He was going to die, that explosion got him.

I suppect it took his tesitcals. Both legs were ruined as well, they would cut them off, a triple amputee, that would be hard to face.

All he would have left is his two upper arms.

He would have bled out. No one was coming to help. His squad was moving fast, no time to patch him up.
